Pakistan Health Parliament appoints Ms. Maha Rehman as a member of the Health Leadership Council.

With over 20 years of cross-sectoral experience across the non-profit and corporate sectors, Ms. Maha Rehman brings expertise in strategy, research, monitoring & evaluation, and organizational development to the Council.

She serves as a Member of the Board of Governors and Chair of the Management Committee at NUR International University, and as a Member of the Board of Directors at NUR โ€“ Fatima Memorial System. She is also a Co-Founder and Senior Technical Advisor at the NUR Center for Research and Policy (NCRP), the research and policy arm of Fatima Memorial Hospital.

Her work spans health, education, integrated community development, and womenโ€™s empowerment, with a strong focus on translating evidence and strategy into meaningful institutional and community-level impact.

At Pakistan Health Parliament, her experience will add valuable depth to conversations around health policy, institutional leadership, research, and sustainable health-system development.

Dr. Komal Fizza brings extensive experience in clinical governance, healthcare quality, risk management and hospital systems, with more than a decade of experience in quality assurance at Shifa International Hospitals.

She currently serves as Director Clinical Governance & Quality at Novacare Hospitals, following her leadership role as Associate Director Quality Assurance at Shifa International Hospitals.

Pakistan Health Parliament appoints Prof. Dr. Javed Qazi as a member of the Industry Collective.

A Professor of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis and Radiology, Dr. Javed Qazi brings more than four decades of experience across clinical practice, dental education, postgraduate training, research and healthcare administration.

He has served as Medical Superintendent at Peshawar Dental College-Hospital, Professor and Head of Oral Diagnosis, Oral Medicine & Radiology at Peshawar Dental College, and currently serves as Professor at Rawal Institute of Health Sciences, where he also supervises postgraduate programmes.

With extensive experience in developing and supervising postgraduate dental education, research and academic programmes along with international clinical and academic exposure, Dr. Qazi brings a valuable perspective to the Industry Collective.

The Environmental Health & Climate Change Committee โ€“ Kinnaird Chapter, Pakistan Health Parliament successfully conducted an insightful webinar challenging how we think about climate action.

The session moved beyond the familiar conversation around individual carbon footprints and consumer guilt to explore a more important question: Where does real leverage for climate action lie?

Participants engaged with the broader systems behind emissions, the role of major polluters, and why meaningful climate action requires looking beyond individual choices towards high-impact, systemic solutions.

The discussion was thoughtful, engaging, and a much-needed reminder that climate responsibility is not simply about asking individuals to consume better, it is also about understanding the systems that shape what we consume in the first place.

A conversation that encouraged us to look beyond the obvious and focus where action can make the greatest difference.

In the final session, Dr. Wardah Ishfaq discussed the limitations of PFA and brought the series to a thoughtful conclusion, highlighting where PFA can help, and where professional support may be needed beyond it.

This session took a closer look at what happens when people face a crisis, from common reactions and the broader impact of crises to the role of a PFA provider.

Dr. Wardah Ishfaq also explored PFA in the Pakistani context and used disaster response scenarios to connect the discussion with situations where psychological support can be needed most.

Another practical session, helping participants understand not just the concept of PFA, but how it can be applied when it matters.
