A survey of library facilities in primary and junior schools in the rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territories (ICT) has shown that most schools have no libraries. The principals and teachers of schools without libraries have expressed keen interest in having library facilities for their young students. The Bright Star Mobile Library will bring library services at the doorstep of these schools a
nd provide their students with access to books. By providing young school children access to books that will attract fascinate and inform them. Every child from the schools served by BSML will be allowed to borrow a book for a week. The BSML professionals, together with the class teachers, will help the children in selecting the right books for their reading level. The schools participating in BSML program agree to allowing at least 3 library periods a week within school hours under the supervision of teachers to promote reading habits among the young.
