Communities across came together to celebrate W๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ under the Resilient & Rising Pakistan.
Through awareness sessions, environmental dialogues, awareness walks, student engagement activities, and plantation initiatives, communities, youth, academia, government representatives, and civil society members reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection and climate resilience.
๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ณ๐ข ๐๐ก๐๐ง โ World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated at Punjab College DG Khan, bringing together government officials, development practitioners, religious and community leaders, environmental experts, health professionals, youth representatives, and media stakeholders. Speakers highlighted the growing challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and the need for collective action to safeguard natural resources and ensure a sustainable future. A total of 94 participants attended the event.
๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ โ The Institute of Agro-Industry & Environment, Faculty of Agriculture & Environment, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), organized a World Environment Day celebration featuring an awareness walk and student poster exhibition. The event reflected the importance of engaging youth and academic institutions in building a sustainable future.
๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ โ Environmental awareness session was organised, attended by Assistant Commissioner Faisal Shehzad Cheema, representatives of government departments, media personnel, and community members. Participants discussed climate change, environmental conservation, and the importance of tree plantation in strengthening community resilience. The activity concluded with the distribution of saplings, encouraging participants to contribute directly to a greener and healthier environment.
Through these diverse initiatives, PPAF demonstrated the power of community engagement, youth participation, and institutional partnerships in advancing environmental sustainability, promoting climate awareness, and fostering a greener future for Punjab and Pakistan. ๐๐ค
The activities were organised under Resilient & Rising Pakistan campaign, implemented in collaboration with Prime Ministerโs Youth Programme, Paigham-e-Pakistan, the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Initiative and Farmers Development Organization (FDO).
