PPAF hosted a high-level consultative session bringing together 30+ partner organisations and civil society representatives to discuss regional realities, the regulatory environment and opportunities for stronger strategic alignment in Balochistan.

Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, in collaboration with MoPASS and CoE-CVE Balochistan, convened an interactive dialogue bringing together representatives of diverse faiths to promote tolerance, acceptance and peaceful coexistence.

Under the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Local Area Development Programme, funded by PPAF and implemented by Hamza Development Foundation a one-day training session on Human Rights, Womenโ€™s Rights, GBV Rights & Responsibilities, and Linkages Development held in District Haveli, AJK brought together 5๏ธโƒฃ7๏ธโƒฃ community members with half of them being women to gain insights on human rights and responsibilities, womenโ€™s rights and equal opportunities, GBV awareness and prevention, advocacy, identification of community issues, and linkages with relevant support services. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ”— โš–๏ธ

Through interactive discussions and group presentations, participants were encouraged not only to understand their rights, but to recognise issues, raise concerns and take informed action.

Such community-level learning spaces can be an important first step towards change, turning awareness into confidence, and confidence into collective action for stronger, more inclusive communities โœŠ ๐Ÿงญ

A new chapter for inclusive education in began with the inauguration of The Centre of Excellence Deaf Reach Centre, Quetta.
Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture and Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare in Balochistan jointly inaugurated the facility marking a step towards expanding opportunities for children and young people with different abilities.

Women entrepreneurs, policymakers and development partners came together to explore opportunities around technology, education, innovation and access to finance for women in Balochistan. โœจ

The event was graced by Governor Balochistan, Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Ms. Raheela Hameed Durrani, Minister for Education Balochistan, and Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi, MNA & National Coordinator, Dukhtaran-e-Pakistan, alongside representatives from academia, media and civil society.

๐ŸŽ“ The event also celebrated the achievements of women graduates of the PPAF-led Ba-Ikhtiar Initiative, highlighting the importance of skills, digital inclusion and entrepreneurship in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Women entrepreneurs were further supported through cheque distribution under PPAFโ€™s Prime Ministerโ€™s Interest-Free Loan (PMIFL) Programme, helping expand access to interest-free financing for productive economic activities.

Under the PPAF-funded Ba-Ikhtiyar Khwateen Project, in collaboration with PTCL, 100 women in , Balochistan, successfully completed training in hand embroidery, handicrafts and value-added handmade products.

Implemented by Center for Peace and Development, Balochistan (CPD), with training delivered by the IRM, the participants were also equipped with digital marketing skills to promote their products through social media and explore online earning opportunities.

The initiative concluded with a certificate and mobile phone distribution ceremony, providing participants with digital tools to further develop their skills, connect with potential markets and pursue sustainable income opportunities.

Through Ba-Ikhtiyar Khwateen, PPAF continues to strengthen women's technical, entrepreneurial and digital capacities, supporting improved livelihoods, economic empowerment and greater financial independence.

Under the Local Area Development Project, funded by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and locally implemented by the Hamza Development Foundation, a Climate Resilient Gravity Water Supply Scheme has been inaugurated in Village Bat Bani, District Hattian Bala, Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The scheme is benefiting around 250 households, providing more convenient access to water and reducing the daily burden on women and children who previously walked nearly 2 km to fetch water.

This initiative reflects PPAFโ€™s continued efforts to strengthen climate resilience, access to essential services, and improved living conditions for communities in underserved areas.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐPPAF continues to play a pivotal role in advancing poverty graduation, climate resilience and inclusive economic opportunities across Pakistan by translating development priorities into community-led and measurable outcomes.

As part of this engagement, Mr. Sohail Chaudhry, CEO, Economic Affairs โ€“ A Policy Dialogue Platform, presented the Independence Day Special Edition of Economic Affairs to Mr. Nadir Gul Barech, CEO, PPAF.

The dialogue highlighted the importance of stronger alignment between policy, civil society and development finance to drive sustainable socio-economic progress and build resilient communities across Pakistan.
