The inauguration of two Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filtration Plants at ๐Ÿ“ Sari Basti and Rural Health Center Khair Pur Daha, District was successfully held under the Ba-Ikhtiar Water Project.

The facilities were formally inaugurated by Mr. Syed Atif Raza, Chief Commercial Officer, PTCL and Mr. Arshad Rashid, Chief Program Officer, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, alongside community leaders and stakeholders.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ The strong participation of Village Organisation members, O&M Committee members, and local representatives highlights true community ownership and collective responsibility for sustainable service delivery.

Communities across -Baltistan came together to celebrate World Environment Day 2026 under Resilient & Rising Pakistan โ€” a PPAF-led movement implemented in collaboration with the Prime Ministerโ€™s Youth Programme, Paigham-e-Pakistan, Centres of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, and partner organisations to promote climate resilience, environmental stewardship, and collective action for a greener Pakistan.

Communities across came together to celebrate W๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐„๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” under the Resilient & Rising Pakistan.
Through awareness sessions, environmental dialogues, awareness walks, student engagement activities, and plantation initiatives, communities, youth, academia, government representatives, and civil society members reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection and climate resilience.

๐Ÿ“ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ซ๐š ๐†๐ก๐š๐ณ๐ข ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง โ€“ World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated at Punjab College DG Khan, bringing together government officials, development practitioners, religious and community leaders, environmental experts, health professionals, youth representatives, and media stakeholders. Speakers highlighted the growing challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and the need for collective action to safeguard natural resources and ensure a sustainable future. A total of 94 participants attended the event.

๐Ÿ“ ๐๐š๐ก๐š๐ฐ๐š๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ โ€“ The Institute of Agro-Industry & Environment, Faculty of Agriculture & Environment, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), organized a World Environment Day celebration featuring an awareness walk and student poster exhibition. The event reflected the importance of engaging youth and academic institutions in building a sustainable future.

๐Ÿ“ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ โ€“ Environmental awareness session was organised, attended by Assistant Commissioner Faisal Shehzad Cheema, representatives of government departments, media personnel, and community members. Participants discussed climate change, environmental conservation, and the importance of tree plantation in strengthening community resilience. The activity concluded with the distribution of saplings, encouraging participants to contribute directly to a greener and healthier environment.

Through these diverse initiatives, PPAF demonstrated the power of community engagement, youth participation, and institutional partnerships in advancing environmental sustainability, promoting climate awareness, and fostering a greener future for Punjab and Pakistan. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿค

The activities were organised under Resilient & Rising Pakistan campaign, implemented in collaboration with Prime Ministerโ€™s Youth Programme, Paigham-e-Pakistan, the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Initiative and Farmers Development Organization (FDO).
