Chal Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organization incorporated on July 30, 2010 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is approved under section 2(36) (c) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 with its registered office is at 26-D, Basement, Kashmir Plaza, Jinnah Avenue, Blue area, Islamabad. VISION:
“Physically Challenged Persons of Pakistan Remain Contributing Citizens”

MISSION:
“To Ensure Arrangements of Appropriate Rehabilitation Services Being Made Available to the Physically Impaired Persons all over Pakistan thus Allowing them to Continue Leading Close to Normal Lives and Being Integrated in the Mainstream of their Communities. The Initial Objective is Provision of Assistive Devices (Prostheses, Orthoses and Wheelchairs) and Related Physical Therapy at the Nearest Place with Possibilities of Regular Reviews, Repairs, Replacements and Follow-ups through Establishment of Model Rehab Centre at the District Level”. Chal Foundation has collaboration with various national and international organizations like; ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross), Motivation International, Johanniter International Assistance, DRI (Direct Relief International), HI (Handicap International), Indus Hospital Karachi, PIPOS (Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences), Paraplegic Centre Peshawar, AFIRM (Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicines), C-ARP (Children-Amputees Rehabilitation Program), DUHS (Dow University of Health Sicences), PRSP (PIPOS Rehabilitation Services Program), Hunar Foundation, Janum Trust etc.

Strengthening Collaboration for Children with Disabilities: CHAL Foundation & Al-Farabi — Together for Inclusive Collaboration

CHAL Foundation warmly welcomed Mr. Islam Riaz and his team from Al-Farabi National Special Education Centre for Physically Handicapped Children, under the Directorate General of Special Education, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training.

During the visit, Mr. Fateh Tariq CEO , CHAL Foundation along with the CHAL Foundation team, shared an overview of CHAL’s rehabilitation services and provided the team with a tour of our Rehabilitation Facilities.

The meeting focused on disability inclusion and rehabilitation support for children with physical disabilities. Both teams discussed opportunities for collaboration to provide rehabilitation and assistive-device services to children at the Al-Farabi Centre.

Together, we look forward to building a meaningful collaboration for a more inclusive and accessible future for children with disabilities.

On 8th October 2005, Pakistan faced one of the most devastating earthquakes in its history. The rubble, the pain, and the loss left thousands with lasting physical and emotional scars.

From that tragedy, hope was born, the beginning of Chal Foundation, a mission to restore mobility, independence, and dignity to those who lost it all.

Today, we remember the lives changed and the strength that rose from despair.
Together, we continue to walk, from tragedy to strength.
