Five meetings in, and the momentum keeps building.

On August 5, 2026, Promoting Resilient Preparedness (PRP) held its 5th Board of Directors (BOD) and National Steering Committee (NSC) meeting. Chaired by Lt. Gen. Omar Mahmood Hayat (Retd.), the session brought together key national stakeholders to review operational milestones, evaluate ongoing disaster risk reduction initiatives, and discuss strategic partnerships.

In his closing remarks at the official launch of the Promoting Resilient Preparedness (PRP) Roadmap and Engagement Strategy in Islamabad, Mr. Fahim Khan, Board Member of PRP, emphasized that the time for fragmented action is over. Reflecting on the journey since the 2016 humanitarian summit, he noted that PRP stands as a truly inclusive institution whose board structure mirrors its diverse stakeholders including civil society, media, chambers of commerce, and national entities. By championing transparent governance, resource stewardship, and scalable models that transfer resources and build capacity at the grassroots, PRP is dedicated to a singular mission: ensuring anticipation becomes action, and local leadership drives national resilience.
