Turning Community Action into Sustainable Change in District Layyah, Punjab.

Under the Climate Friendly and Resource Effective WASH and Livelihood Means project, field teams continue to strengthen sustainable livelihoods and climate-friendly WASH solutions across Layyah.

From supporting new enterprises, including welding, auto mechanics and women-led handicrafts to monitoring the construction of communal toilets, these interventions are helping communities build income opportunities, improved sanitation, and greater resilience.

As part of the preparations for the upcoming cervical cancer prevention campaign, awareness sessions are being conducted with teachers and girls in Primary and Middle Girls Schools across District Bannu and Swabi.

The sessions focus on building awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the importance of vaccination, while equipping teachers and girls with accurate information to share with parents and caregivers.

By strengthening school-community engagement and encouraging informed parental participation, these pre-campaign activities aim to support maximum campaign coverage and help protect girls from cervical cancer.

Awareness today. Prevention for tomorrow. Together, we can protect the health and future of our girls.

From Skills to Decent Employment: Creating Opportunities for Youth with Disabilities

Under the RISEE Project, in Karachi 09 youth with disabilities successfully completed an on-the-job training programme designed to strengthen their employability, build market-oriented skills, and provide meaningful workplace experience.

05 youth received training at Towellers Private Limited, while 04 youth were trained at AGI Denim. Upon successful completion, all 09 participants received certificates in recognition of their participation and skills development.

Most importantly, the training is already translating into employment opportunities:

04 youth secured employment with AGI Denim
03 youth have been shortlisted by Towellers Private Limited for potential employment in the coming months.

Beyond skills development, the initiative is helping build employer confidence in hiring Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and creating pathways for young People With Disabilities to transition from training to decent, sustainable employment.

When opportunity meets ability, inclusion becomes impact.

CHIP Recognized for Contribution to HPV Vaccination Campaign in Islamabad.

We are proud to share that Chip Ngo has been featured in the July 2026 issue of the FDI Journal for its valuable contribution to the successful implementation of the HPV Vaccination Campaign in Islamabad.

The publication recognizes CHIP’s work in community engagement, awareness, social mobilization and stakeholder coordination. In recognition of these efforts, CHIP received a Certificate of Appreciation from the District Health Office, Islamabad.

This recognition reinforces the value of collaborative approaches to public health, bringing together government, communities, partners and stakeholders to improve awareness and uptake of life saving interventions & protecting our daughters from cervical cancer.
