The Inclusion & Empowerment Organization (IEO) organized a prestigious ceremony in honor of Mr. Jawaid Rais for receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz at the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization Head Office near Alamdar Chowk, Hyderabad, Sindh.

A large number of civil society members, youth, persons with disabilities, and representatives from electronic and print media participated in the ceremony and appreciated the remarkable services of Mr. Jawaid Rais for the disability movement in Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jawaid Rais said that the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz is not only an honor for him personally, but also an honor for the 35 million persons with disabilities in Pakistan. He highlighted the importance of unity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch, Founder & President of the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization, delivered the welcome address and warmly welcomed all distinguished guests. He stated that Jawaid Rais is a person who sacrificed his life for the rights of persons with disabilities and is truly a living legend of Pakistan.

During the ceremony, Mr. Jawaid Rais also performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new office of the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization. The event included recitation of the Holy Quran, cake cutting, and cultural presentations.

Mr. Maroo, General Secretary of Inclusion & Empowerment Organization, and Ms. Zareena Rani, Treasurer of the organization, presented traditional Sindhi Ajraks to the honorable guests as a token of respect and appreciation. The vote of thanks was also presented during the ceremony.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch and Mr. Jawaid Rais expressed their commitment to work jointly for the promotion of the disability movement and the rights of persons with disabilities across Sindh and Pakistan.

Mr. Mumtaz Mangi, Manager of HANDS ASHA Independent Living Centre Sanghar, visited the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization (IEO) Head Office and the newly established IEO Independent Living Centre Hyderabad.

During the visit, Mr. Mumtaz Mangi congratulated Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch, Founder & President of Inclusion & Empowerment Organization, Mr. Maroo Bheel, General Secretary of IEO, and the entire team for their successful efforts in establishing a new Independent Living Centre in Hyderabad for persons with disabilities. He appreciated the dedication and commitment of the organization toward promoting independent living, inclusion, education, rehabilitation, and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Sindh.

Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch warmly welcomed Mr. Mumtaz Mangi and briefed him about the different sections and services being provided at the centre, including the IT Section, Tuition Section, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Art of Daily Living, English Language Classes, and hostel facilities for persons with disabilities. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the disability movement and creating more opportunities for persons with disabilities in society.

The Inclusion & Empowerment Organization (IEO) organized a fruitful meeting at the IEO Independent Living Centre Hyderabad with Madam Ghazala, former Deputy Director Social Welfare, and Dr. Bibi. The meeting was held to discuss the welfare, empowerment, and inclusion of persons with disabilities in society.

During the meeting, Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch, Founder & President of the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization, warmly welcomed the guests and briefed them about the vision, work, and services of the Independent Living Centre. He particularly highlighted the importance of the hostel facility for persons with disabilities and explained how the center is working to provide education, rehabilitation, independent living skills, and a safe and inclusive environment for students and persons with disabilities in Hyderabad.

The guests visited different sections of the center and appreciated the efforts of the organization in promoting independent living and empowerment for persons with disabilities. Various important matters related to disability rights, accessibility, inclusion, education, rehabilitation, and social welfare services for persons with disabilities were discussed during the meeting.

A delegation of Abbas Development Organization (ADO) led by Mr. Abdullah Kohistani, President of Abbas Development Organization, visited the IEO Independent Living Centre Hyderabad and held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch, Founder & President of the Inclusion & Empowerment Organization (IEO), along with the IEO team.

During the visit, Mr. Abdullah Kohistani congratulated Mr. Lal Muhammad Baloch and his team on the establishment of the newly launched Independent Living Centre for persons with disabilities in Hyderabad. He appreciated the efforts of the organization in promoting inclusion, empowerment, and independent living opportunities for persons with disabilities.
