In collaboration with Karakoram Basecamp, AKYSB, local startups, and civil society organizations, the first-ever Murku Trail Running event was successfully conducted on 12 September 2026 in Karimabad, Hunza, titled “Sarena Hotels 10K Murku Trail Running.”

The event brought together runners, youth, community organizations, local businesses, volunteers, and outdoor enthusiasts, creating a unique platform to promote trail running, healthy lifestyles, youth engagement, tourism, and community participation.

Beyond competition, the event highlighted the incredible potential of Hunza’s natural landscape as a destination for adventure sports and sustainable tourism.
