Breaking the Chains: Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery for All
Street-connected children are constantly on the move; their needs and realities have shifted due to complex internal and external challenges. Many face trauma, illness, hunger, stigma, and discrimination. In these harsh conditions, some children turn to substance use as a way to cope and survive.
At AZAD Foundation, we believe in early, targeted interventions to break this cycle. Our Sports for Development (S4D) model uses the power of sports, especially football, to engage vulnerable children, build resilience, and prevent crime, substance abuse, and other risks.
Through rights-based, child-centered services, we provide:
✅ Psychosocial support
✅ Life skills education
✅ Skill development opportunities
✅ A safe and inclusive environment
We call on government institutions to strengthen prevention and protection policies, reduce exposure to high-risk environments, and ensure every child has access to quality education, healthcare, and positive adult and peer interactions.
The earlier we act, the greater the chance of building resilience and restoring hope.
Let’s work together to break the chains for every child.
