Two Years of Service

URDC was officially launched on March 23, 2024, with a simple yet powerful mission: to help underprivileged children access quality education. What began with just one child, supported by a few sincere individuals, has grown steadily over time.

With the support of our donors and the addition of URDC Volunteers, our impact has expanded. Today, as we complete two years, we are proud to support 20 students with monthly financial assistance for their education.

We aim to reach many more deserving children, and for that, we need your support. Join us as a donor, or step forward as a volunteer to be part of this mission.

Hi, my name is Shahid Iqbal, and I am a freshman at COMSATS University Islamabad. I first joined URDC as a donor in January 2025. A few months later, I felt the need to contribute more actively, so I became a volunteer to further support the organization.

As a volunteer, I have worked to bring in new donors, share ideas when needed, and participate in the selection of new students. I have also contributed to discussions on how URDC can grow and strengthen its policies over time.

Looking ahead, I hope URDC will expand its reach beyond Yasin, supporting children across the district and eventually throughout Gilgit, Insha’Allah. My vision is for URDC to grow into a strong organization that makes education accessible to every child in need.
