Proud Moment for Khyber Community
The SKIDO team warmly congratulates Mr. Tariq, son of Meherban Shah, resident of Khyber, on completing his PhD in Marine Geology from China.
This is a great achievement and a matter of pride for our community. With this success, three dedicated youths from Khyber have completed their PhDs within two months.
We wish Dr. Tariq continued success and hope his achievement inspires many more young people.

On behalf of SKIDO Khyber, we warmly congratulate Dr. Mehtab on completing his PhD in Aerospace Engineering in April 2026, and Dr. Muhammad Tariq on earning his PhD in Mining in June 2026. Hailing from Khyber Village, Gojal Hunza, these two talented young men have made our community immensely proud. Well done, Dr. Mehtab and Dr. Tariq!

Mehtab Ahmad Khan Barcha, a young scholar from Khyber, Gojal Hunza, has successfully completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft University in the Netherlands on a fully funded scholarship.

He had earlier received the President’s Gold Medal in Energy Systems Engineering from USP-CASE at NUST, recognising his outstanding academic performance.

SKIDO was honored to host a distinguished Japanese group at Khyber CCHA for an extraordinary 10-day snow leopard sighting experience. During their visit, the group had the remarkable opportunity to observe and document five snow leopards in their natural habitat—an achievement that reflects both the rich biodiversity of the region and the success of ongoing conservation efforts. Their visit not only highlights the global significance of Khyber CCHA as a prime destination for responsible wildlife tourism, but also reinforces the importance of international collaboration in protecting this iconic and endangered species. SKIDO remains committed to promoting sustainable conservation initiatives that create meaningful experiences while safeguarding our natural heritage.
