Nazneen Alam, a proud alumna of Karakoram International University (KIU) from the Department of Plant Sciences (2021β2024), with a research specialization in Climate Change and Mountain Ecosystem Services, has been selected for the prestigious Oxford School of Climate Change (SoCC) 2026.
The Oxford School of Climate Change (SoCC) is designed to inspire and equip future climate leaders and has rapidly become one of the most popular global programs of the Oxford Climate Society. Spanning eight weeks, the course brings together participants from around the world for interactive sessions led by leading academics and climate experts.
The 2026 program focuses on key themes including Politics, Nature and Design, and Policy, culminating in a Project Capstone that enhances participantsβ ability to address real-world climate change challenges. Led by the University of Oxford, with contributions from researchers of the Oxford Climate Society, COP participants, and other global experts, the program offers a unique platform for collaboration, learning, and impactful climate action.
