For the first time, Access. Ability Careers 2026 was successfully organized in Shaheed Benazirabad through the joint efforts of DEPD, SPDPA, and ConnectHear.

On April 14, 2026, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) and the Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority (SPDPA) made a powerful impact at the Job Fair organized by the Pakistan Hindu Council.

The event served as a vital platform to champion the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The SPDPA team visited various organizational stalls to provide essential awareness regarding the Sindh Persons with Disabilities Act 2018 and the 5% job quota mandated by law, ensuring that inclusivity remains a priority in the professional sector.

The SPDPA team is honored by the presence and encouragement of Senior Minister of Sindh, Mr. Nasir Hussain Shah, and the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. Their praise for the efforts of DEPD and SPDPA reinforces the mission to create an equitable workforce.

Under the visionary leadership of Secretary DEPD, Mr. Tuaha Ahmed Farooqui, and DG SPDPA, Mr. Ghulam Farooque Leghari, the team was inspired and motivated to continue their tireless work. We were also the first province to set up an autism center that is 100% free of cost, in Karachi.
