🌡️ Scorching heatwaves. Record-breaking temperatures. Climate emergency in Pakistan.
While headlines talk, action speaks louder. 🌍🌱

This summer, I had the privilege to lead a plantation drive in climate-affected villages of District with the support of Climate Class Connection.
Together with the amazing students of New Foundation Public School, we planted neem trees 🌳—not just to provide shade, but to plant hope for a more livable and resilient tomorrow.

📢 During this initiative, I engaged with community members—especially youth and elders—to highlight the dangers of deforestation and the role trees play in cooling our environment, preserving biodiversity, and securing our future.

Sadly, tree-cutting is still a norm in our area. But change begins when awareness meets action. 🌿

✨ I believe youth are Pakistan's greatest climate asset.
We don't need just policies—we need platforms.

I call on environmental organizations, climate advocates, and institutions to invest in grassroots youth-led solutions for a greener, cooler, and fairer Pakistan. 🇵🇰💚

Our Ecocraft activity with the village kids of New Foundation Public school village Adam mahar was an inspiring blend of creativity and sustainability! 🌍✨

The kids transformed plastic bottles into amazing crafts like airplanes, water wells, and boxes, while also learning about plastic pollution and the importance of recycling.

This hands-on experience showed them how everyday waste can be turned into something both useful and beautiful, sparking innovative thinking about waste reduction. ♻️🎨

Our summer intern, Kamal ul Din, made a significant impact through four key projects during his internship with Climate Action Pakistan. Each activity was focused on promoting environmental awareness and sustainability:
1. Kids Circle: Focused on land restoration, kids educated local farmers on drought resilience, combating desertification, and sustainable land management practices.
2. EcoCraft: In Village Qazi Mughal Mahar, students repurposed plastic waste into creative crafts and built bird feeders to address plastic pollution and support local wildlife during the heatwave.
3. Green Guardians: Local children learned about plastic pollution, tree plantation, and environmental preservation through interactive sessions, art activities, and awareness-building exercises.
4. Students Baithak: Held in Daharki, this session engaged students in identifying community issues and brainstorming solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This initiative was part of our Climate Action Pakistan Summer Internship program, which we offer yearly in celebration of World Environment Day. This year’s theme was land restoration, with interns across the country working on projects that promote sustainable land use and environmental awareness.
Kamal’s work exemplifies the power of youth-led initiatives in driving environmental change. We’re proud to support dedicated interns like him who make a difference in their communities! 🌿

Stay tuned for winter and summer internships!

🌳درخت لگانا صدقہ جاریہ ہے۔🌴

It gives an immense pleasure to share that we have successfully completed our project "Ghotki Plantation Drive" with the Pakistan Development Movement.

For our plantation drive project, we targeted vulnerable communities in District . We planted 53 trees, including , , , , and Desi . Fruit trees not only provide shade but also enhance the sense of entrepreneurship among villagers, encouraging them to grow fruit trees in the future.

Our focus was not only on planting trees but also on promoting the vision of the Pakistan Development Movement regarding the importance of trees for the environment, livelihoods, and their various benefits.

Interestingly, we received positive responses from the villagers, who assured us they would take care of the trees. We also engaged kids and school children in our drive to instill awareness about the environment, community service, and extracurricular activities.

Lastly, we want to take a moment to thank the Pakistan Development Movement team, especially Sir Noman, for their trust and support.
