Our story began in 2010, when a few, dedicated friends decided to join their heads and take a stand in improving the provision of welfare services in Pakistan. Coming from privileged backgrounds, they were not content with living without a goal in a society steeped in disparities of wealth and opportunity. It was time to not merely talk the talk, but also walk the walk. With the help of family and
friends, this desire for change took the shape of a non-profit welfare organization called Save Our Future (SOF) . Since its inception, Save Our Future has relentlessly worked towards the following goals: improving the quality and accessibility of Education and Healthcare for the poor, promoting greater parity in the provision of welfare services, and encouraging environmental conservation for a better upbringing of our citizens. We consider each of the three objectives as indispensable without the other, and as lynchpins of a healthier and more vibrant society. Although our primary focus is on education for women, we have simultaneously focused on healthcare and environment, recognizing that a healthier society in crucial for a healthy workforce. We envision a society where quality education and healthcare are not just privileges for the rich, but are equally accessible for the poor. We believe in providing equal opportunity and in creating sustainable institutions that would alleviate poverty and bring about developmental change. What started out as a small initiative by a group of friends has, over time, morphed into an ever-expanding organization, bringing into its fold like-minded partners and supporters from various walks of life. Our story reflects how change begins from a single individual – until many drops make a mighty ocean. Come, and join us in our vision for a better and healthier Pakistan.
