Urgent Humanitarian Appeal for a Family of Five Persons with Disabilities
During a field visit to Village Aminani District Dadu on June 15, 2026, a deeply heartbreaking and distressing situation came to light that touched our hearts and highlighted the hardships faced by some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
We met a family consisting of five persons with disabilities, including three brothers and two sisters, all living under extremely difficult circumstances. Listening to their struggles and witnessing their living conditions was truly painful and emotionally overwhelming.
Unfortunately, this family is deprived of even the most basic necessities of life. They have no proper shelter, no fan, no solar power system, insufficient food supplies, and very limited resources to meet their daily needs. They are currently living in fragile huts and facing severe hardships on a daily basis.
According to the family, they have repeatedly raised their concerns during surveys and approached the relevant authorities for assistance. Despite their genuine need, they have not been provided with even a single housing facility, while several neighboring families have received government-supported houses.
Recognizing their urgent needs, we are providing temporary support within our limited capacity, including wheelchairs, tricycles, and food assistance. However, temporary relief alone is not enough. The family urgently requires permanent housing, improved living conditions, and sustainable support to lead a dignified life.
Therefore, we earnestly appeal to philanthropists, social welfare organizations, government departments, and all compassionate individuals to come forward and extend their support to this deserving family. Your contribution can bring hope, comfort, and dignity to lives that have long been neglected.
Helping those in need is not only an act of humanity but also a noble form of worship. Every contribution, regardless of its size, can make a meaningful difference in improving the lives of this vulnerable family.
May Almighty Allah bless us all with the ability and compassion to support those who are less fortunate. Ameen.

Assistive Devices Distribution Ceremony for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) – District Dadu
📅 Date: 09 June 2026
📍 Venue: Sayed Hakim Ali Shah Auditorium Hall, Allama I.I. Qazi Library, District Dadu
Community Development Initiatives (CDI), with the generous support of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, successfully organized an Assistive Devices Distribution Ceremony in District Dadu to enhance mobility, accessibility, independence, and social inclusion for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government departments, community representatives, civil society organizations, development partners, educational institutions, and persons with disabilities along with their families. Their collective participation reflected a shared commitment towards building an inclusive society where every individual has equal opportunities to live with dignity and independence.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests and representatives from government institutions and local leadership:

🔹 Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Jamali – President, PPP Johi City
🔹 Mr. Rajub Ali Shahani – General Secretary, PPP Taluka Johi

Representatives from INGOs, NGOs, community-based organizations, educational institutions, media, and local communities also attended the ceremony and expressed their support for promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
The distribution of assistive devices is more than the provision of equipment—it is an investment in human dignity, empowerment, and equal participation. By improving mobility, communication, and daily functioning, these devices enable beneficiaries to access education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and community life more effectively.

CDI extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, district administration, partner organizations, community members, and all stakeholders whose support made this initiative possible.

Together, through strong partnerships between communities, institutions, civil society, and government, we can create a society where persons with disabilities are empowered, included, and given every opportunity to thrive.

Taking medical care and awareness to remote areas of Kachho villages, District Dadu!

Community Development Initiatives-CDI, with the approval of the Health Department and support from Dr. Mazhar Ali Panhwar Eye Specialist, organized a Eye Camp in village Wahi Pandhi, taluka Johi, providing free consultations, medicines, and awareness on eye hygiene and preventions.

A total number of 600+ patients from nearby villages received medical eye care facilities and health guidance.

Together, we’re building healthier communities in rural Dadu!
