When a woman begins to understand beyond stereotypes, she reclaims what is truly hers. In ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐, the ๐๐๐ญ๐ก became a defining moment of HER story as students from Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) gathered in a seminar-workshop to share experiences, reflect on feminism, and engage in empowerment through collective learning.
The whole-day program was led by ๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ - ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ (๐๐๐๐ก-๐๐) entitled โ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐โ๐๐ฆ: ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐โ, where learning did not only remain theoretical but also extended into application. The morning session focused on the seminar, where two guest speakers from the ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ (๐๐๐๐) were invited to talk about feminism. ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐. ๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ shared insights under her topic โ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐งโ๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌโ, while ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐ discussed โ๐
๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉโ. In the afternoon session, a workshop followed, where ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ, a ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐๐จ ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ, together with her students ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐จ and ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ, taught basic and fundamental self-defense techniques.
It was never a dull moment; it became a meaningful experience, because feminism is not just something we learn, it extends beyond discussion, reminding us that women also hold the power to shape the world they exist in.
