EMPOWERING FAMILIES THROUGH HEALTH EDUCATION 💙🤝

Last Sunday, August 9, 2026, the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North proudly joined the Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City North, led by President Rodel, in successfully conducting “Kumusta Ka, M.A.R.S.?”, a Maternal and Reproductive Health Seminar held at Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City.

The project provided participants with valuable information on maternal and child health, including prenatal care, maternal nutrition, pregnancy danger signs, birth preparedness, breastfeeding, newborn and postpartum care, maternal mental health, family planning, and HIV and AIDS awareness. The activity also supported the observance of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, emphasizing the importance of proper maternal care and community support.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the resource speakers, Ms. Gildalyn Baldua, RN, Nurse II of the Zamboanga City Health Office–Ayala District; Dr. Pompeyo Torres III, Cardio-Vascular Anesthesiologist and Medical Specialist II of Zamboanga City Medical Center; and the Mujer LGBT+ Organization for sharing their knowledge and expertise.

We also recognize Project Chair Denise Angelica Faye Guerrero, PHRN, USRN, and the entire Rotaract team for their dedication and leadership in bringing this meaningful initiative to life.

RCZCN extends its gratitude to 97.9 Love Radio, 102.7 Yes FM, the Barangay Council and Health Center of Ayala, Mujer LGBT+ Organization, and La Ropa Clothing Shop** for their valuable support.

Through partnerships like this, Rotary and Rotaract continue to strengthen communities through education, collaboration, and compassionate service.

The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North invites its members to FIRESIDE 2026 an evening of fellowship, learning, and meaningful connection.

Fireside is designed especially for our new members to gain a deeper understanding of Rotary—its values, programs, traditions, opportunities for service, and the important role each member plays in strengthening the club. Led by our Club Director for Membership, the session will help new Rotarians become more familiar, confident, and engaged in their Rotary journey.

But Fireside is not only for new members. Our longtime members are also encouraged to join as we reconnect with the purpose of Rotary, strengthen fellowship, share experiences, and renew our commitment to service. It is also an opportunity to promote membership engagement and retention by creating a stronger sense of belonging within the club.

Around the fire, we gather not only as members, but as one Rotary family—ready to connect, inspire one another, and create a lasting impact in our club and community.

BUILDING CONNECTIONS, STRENGTHENING SERVICE 🤝💙

Last August 7, 2026, the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North gathered for another productive Business Meeting, led by RCZCN President Des, bringing members together to share updates, strengthen plans, and explore new opportunities for meaningful community service.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of Mr. Yusushi, who introduced the Western Mindanao Peace Project, opening possibilities for a future collaboration aimed at promoting peace and strengthening communities across the region.

Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City North President Rodel also shared updates on the upcoming “Kamusta Ka, MARS?” Project, scheduled on August 9, 2026, in collaboration with RCZCN. The initiative reflects the continued partnership between Rotary and Rotaract in addressing community needs and creating positive impact.

More than just discussing updates, the meeting served as an opportunity for members to evaluate ongoing initiatives, exchange ideas, and identify ways to further improve the club’s projects and service to the community.

Together, we continue to turn conversations into action and ideas into meaningful service. 💙

⚽🏆 HISTORY MADE AT THE FIRST ROTARY CUP! 🏆⚽

The inaugural Rotary Cup 2026 came to an exciting close as the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) defeated Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU), 3–1, to become the tournament’s first-ever champion!

After months of intense competition, teamwork, and unforgettable moments on the field, the participating teams proved that football is more than just a game—it is a powerful platform for unity, friendship, sportsmanship, and service.

On the last day of July, the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North gathered for its weekly General Membership Meeting, bringing the Solid North family together for another meaningful evening of fellowship, planning, and collaboration.

Presided over by Club Secretary Claire Cultura, the meeting provided an opportunity for members to discuss upcoming projects, strengthen partnerships, and exchange ideas that will help advance the club’s mission of service. Exciting plans and meaningful initiatives are ahead as RCZCN continues to work together in creating programs that respond to the needs of the community.

More than a regular meeting, the gathering reflected the commitment, teamwork, and shared purpose that define the Solid North family. With every plan discussed and every partnership strengthened, RCZCN moves forward with renewed enthusiasm and determination.

ROTARY NORTH BEGINS A NEW CHAPTER OF SERVICE!

On July 30, 2026, the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North successfully held its First Board Meeting, bringing together the club’s officers to discuss upcoming projects, future partnerships, and key plans for the Rotary year.

The meeting served as an important opportunity to share ideas, set priorities, and strengthen the club’s commitment to meaningful community service. The officers also explored possible collaborations with partner organizations to help expand the reach and impact of future initiatives.

With teamwork, dedication, and a shared vision, Rotary North is ready to transform plans into purposeful action. This first meeting marks the beginning of another year filled with opportunities to serve, inspire, and make a difference in the lives of others.
