IN PHOTOS | COLEGA Monitoring at Sta. Maria Central School

Sta. Maria Central School recently welcomed personnel from the DepEd Central Office and Schools Division Office for the COLEGA Monitoring held on March 11, 2026.

The activity was attended by Dr. Lepidaptera T. Villanueva, Mrs. Loida Fabian, PSDS Dr. Eduardo V. Ibañez, teacher-coordinators of various school programs, and the SELG President Ethan James Arquiza.

The monitoring aimed to engage teachers and school administrators in a meaningful dialogue on the implementation of COLEGA and its integration into the curriculum, particularly in promoting children’s rights, positive values formation, and responsible behavior among learners.

Sta. Maria Central School remains committed to supporting programs that strengthen values education and uphold the rights and welfare of every learner.

SAFETY FIRST AT SMCS! 🚒🔥

The SELG Student-leaders, together with the Presidents of YES-O and BKD, actively participated in the Comprehensive School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection last February 18, 2026 at Sta. Maria Central School.

The activity aimed to equip the school community with essential knowledge and skills in responding to fire emergencies. They also had the opportunity to experience the correct way of using a fire extinguisher—an empowering hands-on learning experience that strengthened their confidence and preparedness.

This initiative serves as part of the preparation for Fire Prevention Month this March, promoting awareness and a culture of safety among all learners.

Present during the activity were the Head Teacher, Ma'am Loida Fabian, Grade Level Chairpersons and the Red Cross Youth (RCY) Organization, showing unified support for this important event.

Ma’am Dap Villanueva extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Bureau of Fire Protection for their continued support and initiative in ensuring the safety and well-being of our school community.

AVISO PUBLICO| Classes in all levels - both public and private schools in Zamboanga City REMAIN SUSPENDED on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 due to inclement weather.

Ka-DepEd, priyoridad ng Kagawaran ang kapakanan ng ating mga g**o at mag-aaral!

Kaya naman ipatutupad ng DepEd ang mid-school year wellness break mula Oktubre 27-30, 2025.

Kaugnay nito, hinihikayat natin ang mga paaralan na bigyan ng oras ang mga g**o na makapagpahinga at isagawa ang In-Service Training (INSET) pagkatapos ng break.

Ang hakbang na ito ay bahagi rin ng direktiba ng Pangulo na alagaan ang kapakanan ng ating mga g**o at mag-aaral.
