E2E City Wide Camp 2026!
Ayala District FO1— More than 200 young people from different Field Offices across the city came together at La Vista del Mar Resort, Calarian, Zamboanga City, with 30 youth delegates from FO1 for the “Educate and Engage to Empower (E2E) Capacity Building Workshop City-Wide Camp 2026”—a three-day youth development initiative designed to equip young people with knowledge, leadership skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of purpose.
Organized by Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines–AKO (PYAP-AKO) Zamboanga City Chapter, the city-wide camp provided a space for young people to learn, collaborate, reflect, celebrate their diversity, and translate their ideas into meaningful community action.
The activity was made possible through the support and funding of the Local Youth Development Office under the City Government of Zamboanga, reflecting the importance of investing in young people and creating spaces where they can actively participate in community development.
PYAP-AKO Ayala District FO1 extends its sincerest appreciation to Local Youth Development Officer Hon. Christian Olasiman; City Mayor Hon. Khymer Adan T. Olaso; City Vice Mayor Hon. Ma. Isabelle “Beng” Climaco; City Councilor Hon. Kimberly Anne D. Villaflores; and SK National President Hon. CJ Dalipe for their invaluable support to youth development and empowerment.
Your continued commitment to providing opportunities for young people strengthens the foundation for a generation that is not only capable of leading but also prepared to listen, collaborate, serve, and take responsibility in their respective communities.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Zamboanga City, headed by CSWD Officer Ma’am Ma. Socorro A. Rojas, together with CSWD Division Chief Mr. Ronald Cervas, and our dedicated PYAP-AKO ZC Focal Person, Ms. Paola Cabresos.
We likewise recognize our hardworking Youth Focals from Field Offices 1–7, the Technical Working Group (TWG), officers, and board members whose dedication, coordination, preparation, and commitment helped bring this activity to life.
Special recognition is given to our City-Wide President, Mr. Sai-in A. Daris, for spearheading the implementation of the E2E City-Wide Camp 2026 and for continuously working toward creating meaningful opportunities for the youth of Zamboanga City.
PYAP-AKO Zamboanga City is deeply grateful to the resource speakers:
✨ Mr. Vernon Kenny Jimera
✨ Mr. Abel Khamier Abdua
✨ Mr. Amran Sharif
✨ Ms. Dawn Temperatura
Thank you for sharing not only your expertise but also your experiences, perspectives, and practical lessons with our young participants. Your contributions transformed every session into an opportunity for learning and reflection, reminding our youth that leadership is continuously developed through knowledge, experience, and action.
DAY 1 | KNOWING OURSELVES, ENVISIONING OUR FUTURE
The camp opened with sessions designed to help participants understand themselves and their values while encouraging them to look beyond the present and envision the future they want to create.
🔹 Values Formation & Self-Awareness
🔹 Dreams and Visions
🔹 Team Building Activities & Group Dynamics
The first day concluded with an evening of culture, creativity, and camaraderie through the PYAP-AKOZC Cultural Night, featuring:
🎭 Cultural Night Expo
💃 Tribu Sayawit
📣 Tribu Cheer
It was a celebration not only of talent but also of the diversity and identity that make the PYAP-AKO Zamboanga City community vibrant.
DAY 2 | DEVELOPING SKILLS, STRENGTHENING LEADERSHIP
The second day focused on practical skills that young people can carry beyond the camp and into their communities:
🔹 Problem Solving & Decision-Making
🔹 Interpersonal Communication & Role Playing
🔹 Reproductive Health Awareness
🔹 Peer Facilitation & Leadership Skills
🔹 Unlad Kabataan Program Refresher-Orientation
As the day came to a close, participants gathered for Bonfire Night, creating a space for reflection, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences. It was a reminder that amidst all the activities and learning, there is also value in slowing down, looking back, and appreciating the people who became part of the journey.
DAY 3 | TURNING IDEAS INTO ACTION
The final day brought the learning experience toward its most important point: action.
Participants engaged in:
🔹 Community-Based Project Formulation
🔹 Presentation of Field Action Plans per Sector
The presentation of field action plans demonstrated that the camp was not designed simply to produce participants—but to help develop young people who can identify challenges, formulate solutions, work with others, and contribute to their communities.
The E2E City-Wide Camp 2026 may have lasted only three days, but the lessons, friendships, ideas, and commitments formed throughout the camp are intended to go far beyond its closing program.
The camp reminded us that empowerment begins when young people are given the opportunity to learn, the confidence to speak, the space to participate, and the support to act.
To our 200+ participants, thank you for bringing your energy, openness, creativity, and willingness to learn.
To our partners, speakers, facilitators, youth focals, TWG, officers, board members, volunteers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes—this achievement belongs to all of us.
The E2E City-Wide Camp 2026 has come to a close, but the work continues.
Because an educated youth understands.
An engaged youth participates.
And an empowered youth takes action.
✨ EDUCATE. ENGAGE. EMPOWER. ✨
