AVRC III Conducts Joint Technical Meeting to Advance Program Implementation

To ensure the effective implementation of programs and services for the upcoming semester, the Vocational Training Services (VTS) and Social Rehabilitation Services (SRS) of AVRC III conducted a Joint Technical Meeting to strengthen coordination, assess progress, and align operational priorities.

The meeting covered the presentation of section accomplishments, Instructors Course updates, Programs and Operations, and the formulation of ways forward to enhance service delivery and achieve the Center's goals for the next semester.

A significant highlight of the activity was the Training Center Superintendent's (TCS) Hour, where the TCS shared valuable insights, provided program updates, extended technical guidance to both sections, and issued key directives to support the effective implementation of planned activities.

Among the important updates discussed were the preparations for the National Disability Rights Week Celebration, the upcoming AVRC III Anniversary, and the scheduled Pre-Assessment for the Center's Accreditation.

In view of these major undertakings, all staff were enjoined to prepare thoroughly, work collaboratively, and give their best efforts to ensure the successful conduct of each activity and the continued delivery of quality services.

The activity served as a valuable platform for collaboration, strategic planning, and continuous improvement, reaffirming AVRC III's commitment to responsive, inclusive, and client-centered service delivery.

A SPECIAL TREAT for Our Lolo, Lola, and the Dedicated Staff of the Home for the Elderly โค๏ธ

The AVRC III Beauty Care and Massage Therapy clients brought smiles and comfort to the beloved lolo and lola, as well as the hardworking staff of the Home for the Elderly, through a wellness activity that showcased not only their skills but also their heart for service.

From free haircuts and shaving services to relaxing foot spa treatments, manicure, pedicure, and massage, the activity provided an opportunity for the clients to apply their learning while promoting the well-being of the elderly residents and caregivers.

More than the services rendered, the day was filled with warm conversations, laughter, and meaningful connections.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our activity co-facilitator, Ma'am Kim Jane , for her invaluable support and guidance; to our ever-supportive Center Head, Ma'am Junila Oquias Regaรฑon , for her encouragement and commitment to client development; and to the entire Home for the Elderly team for warmly welcoming us and making this meaningful activity possible.

A simple act of care can go a long way, and we are grateful to have shared this day of wellness, appreciation, and joy with those who have given so much of themselves in service to others.

Bridging Learning and Real-World Experience

As part of their Related Learning Experience (RLE), the Beauty Care and Massage Therapy clients were given the opportunity to visit UNI SPA Barbershop, where they gained valuable exposure to the realities of the beauty and wellness industry.

The activity allowed the clients to observe actual salon operations, interact with professionals, and witness firsthand the standards and practices involved in delivering quality beauty care services. Beyond observation, they were also able to assist in selected services, giving them a practical understanding of workplace expectations and strengthening the skills they have acquired through AVRC Vocational training.

The learning experience extended beyond the salon as the clients also visited a supplier of beauty care tools, equipment, and materials. This provided them with insights into the resources needed to practice their craft and explore future livelihood opportunities.

The visit encouraged them to consider ways of further developing their skills, whether through home-based services, self-employment, or future work in the beauty and wellness sector.

The success of this activity would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our valued partner, UNI SPA Barbershop.

We are deeply grateful to Sir Fernando Duco for the opportunity provided to our clients to experience an actual work environment, observe industry practices, and participate in hands-on learning activities.
