๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | PRMSU Conducts 2025 Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony for CTE, CIT Students
Iba, Zambales โ October 1, 2025 โ The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of Iba Campus and Masinloc Campus, along with the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), held the 2025 Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony at the PRMSU Gymnasium, Iba Campus. This yearโs event carried the theme โCultivating Future Teacher Dedication towards Center of Development.โ
The ceremony marked a milestone for students, symbolizing their transition from academic preparation to practical training. The pinning and candle lighting rites embodied their pledge of integrity, dedication, and compassionโvalues essential in practice teaching and future professional service.
The program began with a processional of students with their parents and guardians, followed by the entrance of faculty, university officials, and the guest speaker. In her welcoming remarks, CIT Dean Dr. Lorna L. Acuevera extended her congratulations and words of encouragement.
Speaking on behalf of University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, Mr. Danilo V. Rogayan Jr., Executive Assistant to the President, inspired students by stressing that the true measure of a teacher lies not in grades but in the lasting impact on learners. He reaffirmed PRMSUโs commitment to quality education, research, and community service.
CTE Dean Dr. Zenvi Ann M. Macalinao introduced the Guest Speaker, Mr. William Roderick R. Fallorin, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Zambales. Mr. Fallorin challenged students to reflect on the kind of teacher they aspire to becomeโone who inspires children to love learning. He reminded them that teaching requires perseverance and hope, as every lesson carries the power to shape lives and futures.
With pride, Dr. Christian E. Cariaso, BEEd Masinloc Program Chairperson, presented the Masinloc Campus students for the ceremonial pinning. Accompanied by their parents and guardians, the students received their pins as symbols of responsibility and readiness for the teaching profession.
Afterward, Dhan Mariel Anglit, CTE SBO President, led the students in the Pledge of Commitment, affirming their dedication to uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and excellence as future educators.
The ceremony concluded with closing messages from Dr. Lilian F. Uy, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Santi A. Magtalas, Iba Campus Director, who expressed confidence in the studentsโ ability to embody the universityโs ideals and serve as future professionals.
The event ended with a renewed sense of purpose, echoing the ceremonyโs theme of cultivating dedication. Students left the gymnasium carrying the light of inspiration and determination to live up to the noble calling of the teaching profession.
