𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚: 𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗠𝗦𝗨!

At WMSU, student leaders took part in the 𝗦𝗧𝗚 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻, creating a space for fresh perspectives, meaningful conversations, and collective action toward better governance.

With the theme, “𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲,” the WMSU leg became a space for meaningful conversations and shared aspirations, strengthening the voices of the youth and inspiring them to take an active role in shaping their communities.

As we look back on the memorable moments, inspiring discussions, and meaningful connections made throughout the event, one thing remains clear: the youth are ready to lead, take action, and move forward with purpose.

Together, we continue to move forward, 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚, toward a future led by empowered young people and strengthened by responsive governance. ❤️✨

In light of the findings in the EDCOM II Final Report on functional literacy, CHED renewed its push for colleges and universities to combat illiteracy and learning challenges in their local communities actively.

The Commission issued a memorandum urging Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to integrate functional literacy programs into their extension services, to improve functional literacy rates across all education levels. The EDCOM II Final report revealed that nearly 30 percent of Filipinos aged 10 to 64 are functionally illiterate—including 18 percent of college students and 7 percent with graduate degrees.
