THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SENATE MINORITY WALKOUT 🇵🇭

Huwag kayong mabulag sa mga nagsasabing "disrespectful" ang ginawang pag-walk out ng Senate Minority bloc. Narito ang totoong dahilan at ang matalinong stratehiya sa likod nito:

𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦: Ayon sa Konstitusyon (Article VI, Sec 16), kailangan ng hindi bababa sa 13 senators (majority ng 24) para maging legal ang anumang session o botohan sa Senado.

𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: Dahil nagtatago si Bato Dela Rosa para takasan ang kanyang arrest warrant, 12 na lang ang natitirang miyembro ng Majority bloc sa floor. Hindi nila kayang mag-quorum mag-isa.

𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐠 "𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝": Pilit na binabago ng Majority ang mga patakaran para payagan ang remote/online voting para lang ma-accommodate ang isang fugitive colleague nang walang sapat na debate sa Committee on Rules.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲: Sa pamamagitan ng sabay-sabay na pag-alis, sinadya ng Minority na tanggalin ang quorum ng Senado. Ito ay isang legal at kalkuladong hakbang para maparalisa ang session at mapigilan ang pagbaluktot sa batas para sa politikal na interes.

Hindi ito simpleng protesta—ito ay pagtatanggol sa integridad ng Senado. Ang rules ay ginawa para sa taumbayan, hindi para protektahan ang mga umiiwas sa hustisya.

Klaro na gyud ngano gi-deny sa ICC ang interim release ni Duterte — ug ironic kaayo kay ang nakapabagsak niya kay iyang kaugalingong team.

According to the ICC, taas kaayo ang flight risk ug risk of obstruction. Pero honestly, kinsa pa’y dili mo-think ana kung imong pamilya ug supporters sige’g broadcast nga “di gyud siya among ihatag!”

➡️ Ang statements sa iyang anak ug allies kay mura’g live announcement nga, “Ayaw ninyo pagdahom nga inyong madakpan among papa/boss.”

➡️ Ang supporters, mura’g extra sa action movie — “Dili namo siya ihatag!” — pero kalimot sila nga real life ni, dili pelikula.

So of course the ICC said: “Ah okay, klaro. If buhian nato ni siya, basin mo-sibat or taguan ninyo.”
