Hon. Fathma Hazrat Macarimbang Omar Sarangani-Asis Macalandong is the current Municipal Mayor of Madalum. She officially assumed office on June 30, 2025, carrying forward a distinguished legacy of leadership and public service that has significantly shaped the history and development of the municipality.

On her maternal side, she is a descendant of the prominent Macalandong Family of Madalum. She is the granddaughter of Datu Hadji Abolais Raquib Omar Macalandong, who served as Municipal Mayor from 1972–1978 and 1980–1986, playing a vital role in local governance and community development. Datu Raquib Omar was the brother of Hadji Usman Macarimbang Alawi, the first appointed Mayor of Madalum from 1955 to 1960 and elected Municipal Mayor from 1960–1968, who helped establish the foundations of the municipality’s early governance and administration.

On her paternal side, Mayor Fathma Hazrat belongs to the respected Sarangani Family, a lineage that has produced generations of public servants, traditional leaders, and community builders. Her grandfather, Sultan Paramount Usman T. Sarangani Sr., served as Municipal Mayor from 1986–1998, providing leadership during a crucial period in the municipality’s development. Her grandmother, Soraida M. Sarangani, served multiple terms as Municipal Mayor from 1998–2007, making significant contributions to the growth and progress of the municipality. Her father, Usman “Palao” M. Sarangani Jr., likewise served as Municipal Mayor from 2007–2016 and again from 2022–2025, before passing the mantle of leadership to his daughter.

Through both the Macalandong and Sarangani lineages, Mayor Fathma Hazrat inherits a remarkable legacy of leadership, public service, and dedication to the welfare of the people of Madalum. As the latest steward of this enduring tradition, she continues to champion inclusive governance, sustainable development, quality public services, and community empowerment. Her leadership reflects a commitment to preserving the rich heritage of Madalum while advancing programs and initiatives that create greater opportunities and a brighter future for generations to come. Dr. Hadji Mohammad Mursheed Mashiding Alawi Angni Macarimbang Lomandong Macalandong Al-Haj

Dr. Hadji Mohammad Mursheed Mashiding Alawi Angni Macarimbang Lomandong, Al-Haj, was born in Madalum, Lanao del Sur, BARMM, Philippines. He is the son of Hadji Abbas Matataw Lomandong and Hadja Noraisah Angni Macarimbang (Potri Zaman) and is blessed with six children.

A distinguished physician, administrator, and traditional leader, Dr. Lomandong specializes in Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology (Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Throat). He is also a Certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor (CNMD) and a Certified Hospital Administrator (CHA). His academic achievements include a Doctor of Medicine degree, a Master in Hospital Administration (MHA), and a Master in Hospital Management (MHM).

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Lomandong served as the Chief of Balindong District Hospital in Wato-Balindong, Lanao del Sur. Under his leadership, efforts to improve healthcare services led to the passage of Republic Act No. 11884, signed into law on June 29, 2022, increasing the hospital's bed capacity from 10 to 50 beds.

His professional excellence has earned him several prestigious distinctions, including Fellow of the Philippine College of Hospital Administrators (FPCHA), Fellow of the Philippine College of Medical Specialists (FPCMS), Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists (FPAMS), and Diplomate of the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists (DPAMS) in the discipline of Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Throat (EENT).

Beyond medicine, Dr. Lomandong actively serves the community as Regional Director of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO)–BARMM Alumni Association and President of the Philippine College of Hospital Administrators–BARMM Chapter.

On November 5, 2023, Dr. Lomandong was formally enthroned as the Sultan of Kablangan during a historic ceremony held at Mahogany Hills, Palao, Iligan City. His enthronement was witnessed by respected sultans, datus, baes, government officials, professionals, and community leaders from across Lanao.

As Sultan of Kablangan, he traces his royal lineage through the noble bloodline of Abunto, Sultan Atongkay of Kablangan, Dima, P**i, Bae Rini of Madalum, Sultan Dardagan Alawi Macarimbang of Madalum, and Potri Zaman, his mother. Together with Bae a Labi Norhanifa Sani Macarimbang-Masorong, he serves as one of the recognized lifetime reigning title holders of the Sultanate of Kablangan in accordance with the traditional Taritib and Ijma of the Royal House of Kablangan.

In the field of business and community development, Sultan Mashiding Lomandong founded the FDLML Business Complex in Bubong Cadapaan, Balindong, Lanao del Sur. The complex serves as a multi-purpose commercial center featuring an EENT specialist clinic, vision center, pharmacy, fuel station, mini-mart, and retail services.

Through his contributions to healthcare, public service, education, business, and traditional leadership, Sultan Dr. Mashiding Lomandong continues to exemplify dedicated service to the people of Lanao and the Bangsamoro region.
