Most members see the National President at conventions, official functions, and public ceremonies. As fellow Trustees, we had the privilege of seeing the work long before those events: the lengthy deliberations, the difficult conversations, the countless documents to review, and the responsibility of making decisions that would shape the direction of our organization.
I saw a President who listened before deciding. One who welcomed differing views around the Board table, encouraged every Trustee to be heard, and never treated disagreement as disloyalty. Even when opinions differed, our discussions always returned to the same question: What is best for Alpha Phi Omega?
That did not make every decision easy. Nor did it mean everyone agreed with every outcome. But throughout our term, I never doubted the integrity with which you approached the office.
For that, you deserve not only recognition but our deepest gratitude.

As a new set of national leaders assumes the responsibility of guiding Alpha Phi Omega, I hope you do so with the satisfaction of knowing that you gave this office everything it required of you.
The office of National President is held only for a time.
Its responsibilities are eventually entrusted to another.
But every person who serves it leaves something behind.
Thank you for what you have left behind for Alpha Phi Omega.
It has been my honor to serve beside you.
May God continue to bless you and your family as you continue to uphold the highest ideals of our beloved organization.
