The Clinical Internship Graduation Ceremony of Conner District Hospital held on March 27, 2026 in Conner, Apayao, was made more meaningful as it celebrated the first batch of Medical Technology interns of the institution, together with the presence of PAMET Cagayan Chapter President, Michelle Bagapuro-Sabben, who served as the distinguished guest and inspirational speaker for the occasion.
The event gathered graduating Medical Technology interns from Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP), University of Perpetual Help System (UPHS), International School of Asia and the Pacific โ Kalinga (ISAP Kalinga), and Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP), marking a historic milestone for the hospital and the students alike as pioneers of clinical training in the facility.
In her address, President Bagapuro-Sabben extended congratulations to the graduates, recognizing their perseverance, sacrifices, and commitment throughout their internship. She emphasized the vital role of Medical Technologists as frontliners in healthcare, highlighting their indispensable contribution to accurate diagnosis, patient care, and public health.
She also underscored the mission and vision of PAMET in continuously uplifting the profession through professional development, unity, and service. The graduates were encouraged to strive for excellence, uphold the highest ethical standards, and actively engage with PAMET as future Registered Medical Technologists.
The event was made possible through the support of the hospital administrators, led by Dr. Oliver Lacambra, Officer-in-Charge Medical Center Chief, and Ms. Everlyn Gunayon, Chief Medical Technologist, whose leadership and guidance contributed to the success of this pioneering batch of interns.
More than a celebration of achievement, the ceremony served as a reminder that graduation is not the end, but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to learning, service, and professional growth.
