TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines — Building on the momentum of their ongoing professional education initiatives, the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) Cagayan Chapter, in partnership with the Cagayan State University (CSU) College of Allied Health Sciences, successfully hosted Part 2 of the Webinar Series: The University Collab Edition on July 31, 2026. Titled "Pathways to Precision: Intensive Identification of Vector Morphology and Molecular Approaches to Women’s Healthcare," this second installment of the series brought together medical laboratory professionals, educators, and students nationwide to explore modern diagnostic breakthroughs and strengthen academic-clinical ties.

The virtual gathering commenced with opening ceremonies smoothly guided by Master of Ceremony Ms. Nestdivie U. Pascual, Chapter Secretary of PAMET Cagayan. PAMET National President Ms. Luella A. Vertucio delivered the President’s Message, underscoring the national leadership's strong support for chapter-led learning series and collaborative academic ventures. PAMET Cagayan Chapter President Ms. Michelle Bagapuro Sabben then offered Welcome Remarks, highlighting how Part 2 of this series exemplifies the power of institutional partnerships in advancing clinical education. Adding to the inspiration, Mr. Enjay C. Javier, Program Chair of the CSU Department of Medical Laboratory Science, delivered an encouraging message urging participants to embrace innovation in laboratory practice.

The core scientific program featured two high-impact technical lectures delivered by specialized guest speakers. Opening the learning modules, Mr. Jack M. Regala, Assistant Professor II at Cagayan State University, conducted a detailed lecture titled "Precision in Parasitology: A Workshop on Identifying Common Vectors of Parasitic Infections & Infestations," focusing on critical morphological identification skills for vector control and diagnosis. Following this, Ms. Mariejim Diane Payot, Associate Professor III at the University of Santo Tomas, presented "W.O.M.E.N.: Widening Opportunities for Molecular Exploration in Navigating Women’s Health," highlighting modern molecular diagnostic approaches and their role in improving health outcomes for female patients.

The milestone event officially concluded with Closing Remarks delivered by Mr. Clinton Yabut, who extended deep appreciation to the partner university, distinguished speakers, chapter officers, and delegates for making Part 2 of the webinar series a resounding success.
