📣 CALLING ALL SOUTHEAST ASIAN ORGANIZATIONS: Support the call to ASEAN leaders to end the plastic crisis and break free from fossil fuels!

Southeast Asia is facing a growing plastic and waste crisis. Landfill collapses and fires in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand show that our waste systems can no longer carry the burden of too much plastic, especially single-use plastics.

Plastic is also a fossil fuel problem. More than 99% of plastics are made from fossil fuels, and its production harms people, health, livelihoods, and the climate.

Communities should not pay the price for a crisis created by big, greedy corporations. ASEAN leaders must reduce plastic production, support a just transition to people-centered solutions like reuse, hold plastic polluters accountable, and move Southeast Asia away from fossil fuel dependence.

On May 19, 2026, 1:00 to 5:00 PM we will be conducting an online learning session via Zoom on proposal writing together with TELUS International Philippines Foundation (TELUS Digital) .

"𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴" aims to provide not for profit practitioners with a practical understanding of the essential elements needed to craft bankable project proposals.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE-BARMM) Basilan Field Office is now accepting applications for Special Program for Employment of Bangsamoro Student and Youth (SPEBSY) 2026 (formerly known as SPES Special Program for Employment of Students

Qualification:
✅REGULAR STUDENT CURRENTLY ENROLLED AGING FROM 15-30 year old
✅ OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH (OSY) STUDENT AGING FROM 15-30 year old

Requirements:

✅ Accomplished MOLE SPES form;
✅ Two 2x2 ID picture taken within six (6) months from the date of application;
✅ Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate or any legal document or ID Identification indicating date of birth or age;
✅ Photocopy of ANY of the following:
a. Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents/legal guardian (those working in government);
b. Certification issued by BIR that the parents/legal guardian are exempted from payment of tax (those working in government);
c. Certificate of Indigency (Poverty threshold) issued by the Barangay
Chairman/Official of the Barangay where the applicant resides, Purpose: MOLE-SPES Program;
d. Certificate of Low Income (Poverty threshold) issued by Barangay Official of the Barangay.
✅ For LEARNERS APPLICANTS
a. Any of the following in additional to requirements no. 1-4 :
b. Photocopy of proof of average passing grade such as 1.) Class Card or 2.) Form
138 of the previous semester or year immediately preceding the application; or
c. Original copy of Certification by the School Registrar certifying as to passing grade and with good moral character immediately preceding semester/year if grades are not yet available
✅ For Out-Of-School Youth (OSV)
a. original copy of Certification as OSY issued by MSSD-BARMM or the autorized official of the Barangay where the OSY resides, in addition to requirements no. 1 - 4.
✅ FOR MADARIS APPLICANTS
a. Any of the following in addition to requirements no. 1 -4:
b. Original copy of Certification by the Madaris Mudir certifying as to passing grade and with good moral character immediately preceding semester/year if grades are not available.

Kadiring kurakot? Paano ba susugpuin? Babad na babad na tayong mga kabataang Pilipino sa galit at pagkadismaya sa mailap na katarungan at patuloy na pagtakas ng mga mandarambong sa pananagutan.

The TUI Care Foundation has launched their TUI Forests Programme to support both large-scale and small-scale tree planting projects in prioritized tourism destinations, including the Philippines.

Such initiatives should focus on forest conservation and regeneration, sustainable tourism, and livelihood. In this funding opportunity, the foundation will offer grants ranging from €10,000 to €150,000.
