Today, we commemorate the ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—๐ญ๐ก ๐‘๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ, honoring the life, works, and ultimate sacrifice of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

โ€‹More than a century later, his vision for the Philippines continues to challenge and inspire us. Rizal didnโ€™t just dream of a free nation; he believed in a nation driven by intellect, compassion, and purpose.

The joint forces of ROTC cadets from Saint Paul University, Silliman University, Foundation University, Negros Oriental State University, and Metro Dumaguete College have united! ๐Ÿ’ช

They are joined by the Student Governments of Silliman University, Foundation University, and Metro Dumaguete College, in partnership with the Youth for Peace and Development Movement of Negros Oriental Chapter, and with the support of the 302nd Infantry "Achiever" Brigade.

Together, we are organizing a massive donation drive to provide hope and restore lives in communities severely affected by the recent typhoon, particularly in Canlaon City and other affected municipalities.

We, the Youth for Peace โ€“ Negros Oriental, extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the late Kuya Brilly of YFP Valencia and Kuya Eric John of YFP Canlaon who both tragically passed away on separate vehicular accidents.

In this time of grief, our hearts are with you. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the midst of sorrow. Kuya Brilly and Kuya Eric John will be remembered for the light they shared, and their memory will live on in all whose lives they touched.

Please know that your pain is shared, and your loss mourned by a community that cares deeply.
