July 23, 2026: Courtesy call of LGU-Sipocot (a first-class municipality located in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region) during its benchmarking visit to our Tanjay City Sanitary Landfill. They were escorted by the management of Geoworks International Corp. that co-managed the Tanjay Sanitary Landfill. LGU Sipocot visit includes the presence of their Municipal mayor, Hon. Tomas A. Bocago, together with their three (3) councilors, and some office heads.

July 18, 2026: CENRO Protected Area Rangers together with the employees of Prince Hypermart conducted a mangrove planting activity in Sitio Mainit, Barangay San Isidro and in Boardwalk, Barangay Luca. One thousand five hundred (1,500) Bakhaw propagules were planted.

July 23, 2026:

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office recently took to the streets to join the civic parade, proudly showcasing the winners of our Creative Recycled Costume Contest. The initiative successfully highlighted how everyday waste can be transformed into wearable art.

Participating in the Headdress Contest, the office headdress' design is a striking tribute to the rich marine ecosystems of Tanjay City, particularly reflecting the vibrant coastal life along the Tañon Strait. By utilizing local recyclable materials and sustainable resources, the design celebrates the city's relationship with the sea.

Tree-growing activity at Sitio Naga, Barangay Sto. Niño. The group composed of City ENRO - City Central Nursery Staff and CENRO JOWs planted around 300 endemic seedlings (Narra, Bakan, etc.).

June 30,2026: Happy World Environment Month! 🫶🌱
LGU-Tanjay through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) facilitated a Creative Recycled Costume Contest participated by different High Schools in the City of Tanjay.
This will be highlighted as one of the best practices on solid waste management. This also serves as an IEC campaign on RA No. 9003 also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 and ensuring community engagement.
Waste diversion strategy for both biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials with recycling potentials is the main focus of this event.

Coastal clean-up along the coastal shore of Barangay 7, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental on World Environment Day Celebration. The event was participated by the CENRO- Tanjay Office Staff, Protective Area Rangers, Nursery Team and the workforce of Philippine Coast Guard-Tanjay substation.

Happy World Environment Month! 🌱🌏

The LGU thru the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) conducted a tree-growing activity in Sitio Nagtuwad, Brgy. Sto. Niño as part of the month-long celebration of the World Environment Month. Around 700 seedlings were planted in the area. The group is composed of the CENRO-City Nursery staff and CENRO Sto. Niño JOWs!
