IN PHOTOS | The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Tanauan Campus Student Chapter (PICE-TCSC) successfully conducted its inaugural Hard Hatting and Vesting Ceremony 2026, symbolizing the studentsโ€™ official transition from classroom theory to rigorous field practice, at the 2nd Floor New Academic Building on June 16.

During the event, faculty members, distinguished alumni guests, and Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering students preparing to undertake their On-the-Job Training (OJT) gathered to commemorate this significant academic milestone.

The event was further honored by two alumni keynote speakers, Engr. Jomar Mintay and Engr. Gil Patrick Garrata, who shared their experiences and gave insights to the students of the challenges and realities they may encounter in the field.

Through the ceremonial donning of hard hats and safety vests, students were reminded of the responsibilities, discipline, and commitment required in the engineering profession as they prepare to enter real-world engineering environments.

Meanwhile, behind every successful milestone is a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes. The PICE-TCSC community extended its deepest gratitude to the student officers, faculty advisers, and organizing committees whose unwavering dedication and collective efforts brought the historic transition ceremony to life.

The activity focused on reviewing the previously conducted activities in the barangay, assessing the sustainability of the extension initiatives and technology transfer, and revisiting the improved prototypes and modules that were turned over to the community. The discussion also included the basis for the barangay resolution to support the continuation and sustainability of the project.
