𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒: 𝐍𝐎𝐍-𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐃𝐋𝐬 𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌
On May 16, 2025, a productive and meaningful hands-on 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘺 𝘉𝘢𝘳 𝘚𝘰𝘢𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 was conducted for 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐃𝐋𝐬) at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Dujali, Davao del Norte.
This training was spearheaded by the 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 (𝘚𝘈𝘉𝘌) in collaboration with the 𝘋𝘖𝘚𝘛 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘟𝘐, 𝘗𝘚𝘛𝘖-𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦, 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘶 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴-𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘕𝘚𝘊 - 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.
This initiative aimed to equip PDLs with livelihood skills that can help them build a better future and contribute meaningfully to society. The participants were highly engaged, actively participating in the activities with eagerness and openness to learn. Their positive response highlights the importance of such capacity-building programs in rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.
