To my Libre Academy family,
I've been trying to find the right words for this post for days now. I've written and deleted this so many times because honestly, this is one of the hardest things I've had to share with all of you.
Some of you already saw my announcement in Discord about the changes coming to Libre Academy. But there's something more I need to tell you, something I need to tell you myself, in my own words, here.
I am stepping away from Libre Academy.
Not because I stopped caring. Not because I regret a single day of building this with you. But because Libre Academy was born as a free academy, and that was its identity from day one. Give every Filipino who wants to become a VA real training, for free. That was the dream. And for as long as I could carry that dream on my own back, I did. Out of my own pocket. Without asking anything in return.
But I've reached the point where I can't keep giving everything away for free and still keep the doors open. And when I sat with that truth, I realized something important. The moment Libre Academy starts charging for its courses, it stops being Libre Academy. That name means something. It means free. And I never want to be the one who takes that meaning away from it.
So instead of changing what Libre Academy is, I made the harder choice. I am walking away from it, so that whatever comes next, comes from something new and honest, and not from something wearing an old name it no longer fits.
Here's what I know for certain though. It was never really about the platform. It was about you.
From the very beginning, people didn't just come to Libre Academy for free training. There are a lot of free resources out there. People came because of what I taught, how I taught it, and because you trusted me. You trusted PJ Visto. You trusted that when I said this training would make you job ready, I meant it. And you trusted me because I always tried to show up for you honestly, even when the truth was hard, like it is right now.
That trust is the one thing I am not willing to lose. So I'm not disappearing. I'm just building the next chapter with a name that finally reflects what this has always really been.
I am transitioning to Sensei PJ - The VA Dojo.
This is where I go all in on the thing I've always believed in. Cultivating VAs who are not just good, but genuinely highly skilled and highly paid. A dojo where the training goes deep, where you're pushed to actually be ready for the real thing, not just to hold a certificate. The same standard I've always held myself to, just with a home that can actually sustain it and grow with you long term.
To everyone who put in the work these past months, who showed up, who practiced, who landed their first client or their first real job because of what you learned here, thank you. You are the reason any of this mattered. You are the reason I'm not just quietly closing everything down and walking away for good. I'm walking toward the next version of this, and I want you walking with me.
I know change like this is never easy to hear, especially after everything we've built together. If you decide this isn't the path for you anymore, I understand, truly. But if you're someone who is serious about becoming a highly skilled, highly paid VA, my dojo doors are open, and I would be honored to keep training you there.
Thank you for every single day you gave this academy. Thank you for trusting me with your growth. I don't take that lightly, and I never will.
See you at the dojo.
Sensei PJ
