PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio Drives New Era for Philippine Golf
Golf is no longer just for the few.
The Philippine Sports Commission officially launched "Fairway to the Future" at Club Intramuros — a nationwide grassroots golf program designed to open the sport to more Filipino youth, especially kids who normally wouldn’t get access to golf.
Leading the movement is PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio, together with NGAP’s Bones Floro and JGFP president Oliver Gan, with support from DOT director Lyle Uy and major golf stakeholders.
The goal?
Free access. More opportunities. More future champions.
“Hindi lang pang mayaman ang golf. Golf is for everyone,” Gregorio shared during the launch.
The program aims to give young golfers access to public courses, driving ranges, and coaching from accredited instructors — opening doors for public school students, out-of-school youth, and children of caddies and golf workers.
Solid support already came from The International Series and Bingo Plus, donating junior golf sets and golf balls to help kickstart the initiative.
Para sa maraming batang Pilipino, this could be the start of a completely different future.
And with PSC Chairman Gregorio leading the way, Philippine golf might finally be entering its most inclusive era yet.
