From there, inspired by the organization's objectives, its membership grew very quickly. Majority of them were police and military personnel and officers. Soon enough, non-military membe
rs came in big numbers. In no time at all, membership began to expand to different provinces, cities and to almost all regions of the Philippines. As of the latest records, BUMAKA has NINE MILLION FOUR HUNDRED NINETY FIVE THOUSAND (9,495,000) members and still counting! More than any other time in its existence, BUMAKA lifted its eyes higher, fired up by its desire to be of service to the greatest possible number of Filipinos who can be within its reach. The realization that it can be a powerful avenue for the betterment of its members; at the same time it can be a willing support to government. It is along this line that the idea of getting into the Partylist system came to the fore. And so, BUMAKA has formally registered its participation with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in the 2016 Elections, vying for seats in the Philippine Congress.
