A New Chapter for Justice and Sustainability at Holy Name University College of Law 💚💛
Today marks a significant milestone for the Holy Name University College of Law as we proudly launched the Center for Environmental and Human Rights Advocacy (CEHRA), a learning and action center where our law students will engage in alternative lawyering and deepen their understanding of advocacy for the least, the last, and the lost.
The Center trace its roots from the Center for Environmental and Justice Advocacy (CEJA) which we now changed to Center for Environmental and Human Rights Advocacy (CEHRA), not just focusing on environmental rights but also on human rights. Our Center envisions to conduct activities such as the Basic Orientation Seminar (BOS), immersions, and internships with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). We also embark on other activities in line with the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP).
Through these endeavors, HNU-College of Law continues to live out its mission of forming competent, compassionate, and socially responsible legal professionals, equipped to respond to the pressing challenges of our time.
Together, we move forward in faith and purpose pursuing justice not only for humankind but also for our shared home, the Earth. 🌿⚖️
