The Leyte Community Red Cross Youth Council would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Palanog Resettlement Elementary School for inviting us to be part of Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 3, 2026, at Palanog, Tacloban City, Leyte 6500, Philippines.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside your school community and contribute to preparing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the students. Being part of this activity reminded us that even simple acts of service can make a meaningful difference when people come together with a shared purpose.

Thank you for the warm welcome, kindness, and support shown to our volunteers throughout the day. We greatly appreciate the dedication of the teachers, parents, and community members who worked hand in hand to make this initiative a success.

It was a privilege to be part of this collective effort, and we look forward to more opportunities to work together in serving our communities. Through cooperation, volunteerism, and compassion, we can continue creating positive and lasting impact for the next generation.

🚑 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 (SFAT) 🚑

The Leyte Community Red Cross Youth Council proudly invites all qualified youth volunteers to participate in the upcoming Standard First Aid Training this June 4–6, 2026 at the Red Cross – Leyte Chapter. This training aims to equip volunteers with essential knowledge and life-saving skills that can help respond effectively during emergencies and accidents.

As youth volunteers, it is our responsibility to always stay prepared, disciplined, and ready to serve humanity at all times. Through this training, participants will learn the importance of proper first aid, teamwork, leadership, and quick response in times of need. Every skill learned can become a tool to save lives and make a difference in our community.

𝗜𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 ❤️

During the Tacloban City Area 4 Youth Fiesta Activity, the Leyte Community proudly served and provided first aid assistance on May 23–24, 2026, at SNHS & Brgy. 64 Gym, reflecting its commitment to compassion, preparedness, and meaningful community engagement. Through the dedication of the youth, the activity fostered unity, strengthened a sense of responsibility, and inspired future leaders to serve with integrity and heart.

This experience serves as a reminder that true service goes beyond action—it is rooted in empathy, purpose, and the genuine desire to uplift others. May we continue to uphold the values of care, unity, and compassion in every opportunity to serve. 🫶

𝗬𝗩𝗙𝗖 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟴–𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ❤️

In celebration of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day last May 8, 2026, the Leyte Community Red Cross Youth Council successfully conducted the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) for 33 passionate young individuals who committed themselves to becoming part of a movement dedicated to service and humanity.

The two-day activity served as an avenue to introduce the participants to the core principles, values, and responsibilities of being a Red Cross Youth volunteer. The Youth Volunteer Formation Course was divided into three essential modules: the Youth Volunteer Orientation Module, the Values Formation Module, and the Team Development Module. Through these sessions, participants were guided in understanding the mission of the organization, developing the right mindset and values of a humanitarian volunteer, and strengthening teamwork, leadership, and camaraderie among fellow youth volunteers.

Through interactive discussions, team-building activities, leadership sessions, and practical learning experiences, the training aimed to strengthen volunteerism, promote youth engagement, and develop future humanitarian leaders who are ready to respond and serve their communities with compassion and integrity.

More than just a training, the YVFC became a meaningful space where friendships were built, experiences were shared, and hearts were inspired to serve beyond themselves. It reminded us that volunteerism is not only about offering time and skills, but also about choosing empathy, unity, and humanity in every action.

To all participants, facilitators, and supporters—thank you for your passion, dedication, and willingness to learn. This is only the beginning of a greater journey. May we continue to grow together, lead with purpose, and serve with heart. 🫡💝

Under the 2017 Revitalized YORP Guidelines, registered youth organizations and youth-serving organizations are granted key privileges, including representation in congresses and activities exclusively for YORP-registered groups; the use of the YORP Seal in official letters, publications, uniforms, and other materials (with proper coordination with the YORP Secretariat) access to free organizational training programs offered by the NYC priority in the selection of representatives for youth consultations, NYC-initiated activities, international youth exchange programs, and other opportunities for wider exposure; and the ability to request promotion of their programs, projects, and activities through the NYC’s official media platforms.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the City Youth Development Office, Hon. Emmanuel Dirco De paz the SK Federation President of Tacloban, Red Cross Youth - Leyte Chapter , and to our Council Adviser Teddy Owen for your unwavering support and guidance in helping us achieve our registration.
