Our hearts are indeed full as we celebrate Wave 2 of our Tino Relief Operations.

Kudos to our friends at Greenpeace Southern Leyte Volunteers for leading this meaningful activity. We are grateful to share this joyful and meaningful time of giving back sa atoang Mamanwa Community diri sa Brgy. Bantawon, St. Bernard, Southern Leyte. 🫶🏽

Pinaagi sa simple Children’s Christmas Party and the distribution of 5 sacks of rice, canned goods ug mga in-kind donations sa 52 households, we were reminded nga bisan pa sa ka gamay nga acts of kindness can carry great hope. 🌏💚

More than the goods, it was the moments that stayed with us—ag kalipay, hagikhik ug katawa sa mga bata, the shared stories, and the joy of celebrating the season together. Bisan pa sa kalisod sa kinabuhi nga gidugangan sa mga trahedyang panghitabo sama sa mga Extreme Weather Events, hope continues to rise through unity, and healing begins when communities come together with compassion and bayanihan.

We are deeply thankful to our donors, supporters and the Office of District Representative Southern Leyte, 2nd District. With all your generosity, we made this possible and helped turn kindness into action. 🌈

Sa amoang mga Mamanwa brothers and sisters, daghang Salamat! 💝 May this season remind us all that hope grows stronger when it is shared.

Christmas reminds us that even in the hardest seasons, kindness can still find its way home. As we return to the Mamanwa community in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte, we are met not just with needs—but with stories of strength, resilience, and quiet hope after Typhoon Tino.

For many families, healing goes beyond relief goods. It’s about feeling remembered, supported, and cared for. This Christmas, we hope to remind them that they are not alone. 💚

Through PASKO SA BANWA, we aim to:
• Provide rice for 52 households
• Receive essential in-kind donations
• Hold a simple Christmas celebration for the children, filled with laughter, warmth, and joy

Yesterday, November 16, 2025, our relief team continued its operations in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, delivering blue water containers filled with 20 liters of drinking water to 151 households identified as priority recipients by the LGU Hinunangan Operations Center.

The distribution covered:

123 households in Brgy. Union
28 households in Brgy. Toptop

With water supply still disrupted in many areas, this distribution provides families with much-needed access to clean and safe drinking water.

This effort was made possible through the generosity of donors, the hard work of our local volunteers, and the coordination of local partners. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who made the Hinunangan leg of the relief ops possible. 🩵💙

Yesterday, November 15, 2025, we were able to successfully deliver 157 units of 20-liter drinking water in blue containers to the priority communities of Saint Bernard, So. Leyte.

The water aid reached the following groups:

52 households from the Mamanua community
80 households in Brgy. Malinao
14 households in Brgy. Tam-is
11 local reservists who assisted in the on-ground operations

The distribution focused on communities that were identified, based on Saint Bernard's Operation Center, as most affected, ensuring that families and responders had access to clean and potable water for their immediate needs. Each household received a reusable blue container filled with 20 liters of drinking water, support that helps sustain families while longer-term recovery efforts continue.

To our donors, partners in the LGU, and dedicated local on-ground youth volunteers, daghang salamat sa tabang ug bulig! 💙🩵
