As part of its ongoing commitment to campus safety and disaster readiness, Kalinga State UniversityโLaboratory High School conductd Project S.A.F.E.(Safety Awarenes for Fire and Earthquake): Enhancing the Disaster Response of KSU-Laboratory High School last January 22, 2026, through the joint efforts of the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) and the Student Body Organization of KSU-LHS officers.
The activity was carried out with the guidance and professional assistance of the Bureau of Fire Protection โ City of Tabuk, headed by Fire Officer II Candy O Bais, with Fire Officer I Grether Hart S Aggalao and Fire Officer I Alia Phylian L Licudine, who provided practical demonstrations and instructions on fire prevention, emergency evacuation, proper handling of fire extinguishers, and appropriate actions during earthquake scenarios, including the โDuck, Cover, and Holdโ procedure.
Project S.A.F.E. served a an important learning experience for students and personnel, emphasizing the value of preparedness, awarenss, and calm response during emergency situations. The activity reinforced the schoolโs commitment to creating a safe, disciplined, and resilient learning environment.
