The Reorganization of the Senator Ninoy Aquino Municipal Cooperative Development Council is underway, spearheaded by Mr. Romeo Difuntorum, CDS I / MCDO Designate, together with Ms. Ruth N. Alendajao, Senior CDS of the Cooperative Development Authority Region XII, in coordination with the Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chair on Cooperatives, Hon. Bevelyn K. Zapanta.

The activity highlights the municipality’s continuing commitment to strengthening the cooperative sector through active collaboration, effective leadership, and unified efforts toward sustainable community development.

APRIL 21, 2026 | Mandatory Training for Micro and Small Cooperatives – DAY 2

The second day of the Mandatory Training for Micro and Small Cooperatives was successfully conducted, focusing on Cooperative Management and Governance.

The activity was initiated by Sir Romeo Difuntorum, CDS I, and facilitated by Ma’am Emilia “Jing” Bair, CDS III.

The training was held at the Municipal Cooperative Development Office and continued to be attended by seven (7) cooperatives from across the Municipality of Senator Ninoy Aquino.

The session aimed to enhance participants’ capacity in leadership, governance, and sustainable cooperative operations.

APRIL 20, 2026 | Mandatory Training for Micro and Small Cooperatives – DAY 1

The Mandatory Training for Micro and Small Cooperatives was successfully conducted, focusing on the Fundamentals of Cooperatives.

The activity was initiated by Sir Romeo Difuntorum, CDS I, and facilitated by Ma’am Emilia “Jing” Bair, CDS III. It was held at the Municipal Cooperative Development Office and was attended by seven (7) cooperatives from across the Municipality of Senator Ninoy Aquino.

The session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of cooperative principles, values, and foundational concepts essential for sustainable operations.

10|28|2025: In celebration of Cooperative Month 2025, the Gender Sensitivity Training Program was successfully conducted to promote awareness and understanding of gender equality among cooperative members of Senator Ninoy Aquino. The activity aimed to foster inclusivity, mutual respect, and gender responsiveness in cooperative operations and community development.

The program was headed by Mr. Romeo C. Difuntorum, Cooperative Development Specialist I/MCDO Designated, whose leadership and guidance ensured the success of the activity.

We would also like extend our sincere appreciation to Ma’am Angela D. Calixtro, our esteemed Resource Speaker, for sharing her expertise and valuable insights on gender sensitivity and equality.

This initiative highlights the cooperative’s continuous commitment to promoting empowerment, inclusivity, and sustainable growth within the community as part of the Cooperative Month 2025 celebration.

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XII held its Parangal 2025 on October 22, 2025, at Paraiso Verde, Koronadal City, in celebration of outstanding individuals and institutions who have shown exemplary performance and commitment in advancing the cooperative sector.

Among the distinguished awardees is Mr. Romeo C. Difuntorum, Municipal Cooperative Development Officer of Senator Ninoy Aquino, recognized for his remarkable initiative, enthusiasm, and dedication as an emerging leader in cooperative development.

Mr. Difuntorum’s early contributions and steadfast commitment to the principles of cooperation and community empowerment serve as a true inspiration to the cooperative movement. His leadership and passion reflect the continuing pursuit of excellence and the strengthening of cooperative development in Senator Ninoy Aquino and beyond.
