We were enthralled last night by the talk given to us by Usec. TJ Batan on the status, future, and lessons learned from the rail procurement journey that the Philippines is undertaking. He spoke about the financial challenges and some of the upcoming rail projects in the country.

He spoke with passion and commitment about delivering the railway and metro projects for the Philippines. It was encouraging to hear about the new strata ownership and right-of-way laws being passed to ease the procurement and delivery of the ongoing projects.

We thank him for the insights and overview that he gave us.

This session will present the design and construction journey of the 5-kilometer-long sub-sea highway tunnel. The talk will span the project's timeline from mobilization in 2013 to its full opening in 2020, highlighting the engineering challenges and innovative solutions that defined its success.
