Yesterday Oct 26, 2025 ,we were given again the opportunity to be one of the resource speaker of the barangay assembly of Barangays Suba ,Zone2 and Tampoong and we were able to share the insights on the programs and advocacies of Municipality for the protection of the Environment under the Leadership of Our Energetic Municipal Mayor Hon Sheffered Lino Siongco Tan ensuring a safe ,clean, healthy and sustainable Environment.

Conduct Road Clearing Operations.
In line with the advocacy of Our Municipality Of Sogod through the leadership of our energetic and very supportive Mayor Hon Sheffered Lino Siongco Tan to have a clean ,safe orderly and healthy Environment , the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources office ( MENRO) with the SLSU Criminology Students Interns (OJT) and garbage Collectors with the guidance and suoervision of Engr. Federico Ozon-OIC MENRO conducted Road Clearing Operations along the National Highway from Barangay Tampoong and within the jurisdiction of Sogod.

Just attended the Barangay assembly of Brgys Zone1 and San Roque to discuss and share the programs and initiatives of the Municipality of Sogod thru the Menro with regards to Environment and Solid Waste Management with focus discussions on RA9003 and garbage collection schedules.

A concerned citizen had turn over a captured Philippine Hawk Eagle ( Nisaeutos Philippensis)our MENRO office for safekeeping and recovery. Immediately the office coordinated with our local veterinary Dr. Eric Salares of Francisco Veterinary Clinic for check up of possible injury and condition of the said wild eagle. We put the said eagle in our temporary wildlife shelter located in sitio bernal Brgy Kahupian for his/her recovery.

The Municipality of Sogod thru the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office ( MENRO) together with the SLSU criminolgy OJT students conducted coastal clean up at the coastal areas of Brgy. Zone2 in celebration of the World International Coastal Clean up Day.
We collaborated with the Barangay Officials and residents of Brgy Zone2 lead by Brgy. Chairwoman Malou Llevares and help in cleaning thier coastal areas.

Just attended and concluded the Flora Assessment and Biodiversity Monitoring System ( BMS) training workshop conducted by PENRMO and DENR CENRO Maasin from Sept 9 -10, 2025.

Starting sa. Septembre 1, 2025, hugot nga ipatuman ang pag implementar sa Ordinansa sa Municipyo nga nag Deklara sa adlaw nga Lunes, Merkules ug Sabado as "No Plastic Day.Gi dili ang paggamit ug single.use plastic packaging atol ani nga mga adlaw lakip na mga karnehan ug isdaan ug mga tindahan sa merkado ug tibook Lungsod sa Sogod. Gi awhag ang mga katawhan labi na ang mga mamalitay pagdala ug kaugalingon nga sudlanan ug pag gamit sa mga eco friendly packaging sama sa paperbag ,ecobag, netbag ug uban pang mga sudlanan nga dili maka daot sa kinaiyahan
