From Birth to Belonging: Empowering Youth to secure every child’s Identity.

𝗕irth 𝗥egistration 𝗔dvocacy for 𝗩ulnerable Populations to 𝗘nd childhood statelessness - 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘 Project

We visited the Pondo Pitu Badjao Community in coordination with the community leader to conduct an information drive highlighting the importance of birth registration and civil documentation.

During the activity, we also identified several unregistered live births within the community to help facilitate their registration process.

PART 2

The 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘 Project - Birth Registration Advocacy for Vulnerable Populations to End Childhood Statelessness, was successfully conducted at MSU-TCTO Community High School, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi, with the active participation of students and youth leaders.

This advocacy initiative aims to raise awareness among the youth on the importance of birth registration as a fundamental right of every child. Through education and community engagement, the activity empowered young people to become advocates in promoting legal identity, child protection, and inclusive access to basic services.

Birth registration is more than just a document, it is a child’s first step toward recognition, protection, education, healthcare, and belonging in society. Together, we continue to support efforts in preventing childhood statelessness and ensuring that no child is left behind.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the partnership and support of CFSI, UNHCR, UNICEF, LGU Sitangkai, MSU-TCTO Community High School, and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi.

Kabataang Mansaluran, together with the active Local Civil Registrar, Milafil L. Pening, conducted a Birth Registration Advocacy for the Barangay Health Workers from the nine (9) barangays and the Rural Health Unit of Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi.

The activity aimed to raise awareness on the importance of birth registration and to promote accessible civil registration services in the community.
