SIQUIJOR, Philippines — A follow-up coordination and finalization meeting for AGRIKABATAAN CAMP 2026 was held on May 11, 2026, at the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in Helen, Larena, Siquijor, bringing together key provincial and national stakeholders to finalize the program design, training components, and sustainability framework of the youth agricultural initiative.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of Agriculture – Siquijor (DA–PATCO), the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) Siquijor, the Office of Hon. Brylle Deeiah T. Quio, the Sanggunian Kabataan Federation led by Hon. Christian Ian Carino, the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and other partner agencies and technical offices.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Discussions focused on refining the training modules of AGRIKABATAAN CAMP 2026 to ensure that they directly address the needs of young farmers, agricultural students, and youth leaders across the province.

The program is set to include agricultural foundation training, farm-based specialization tracks, leadership and organizational development, disaster preparedness and resilience training, and hands-on farm exposure activities.

SIQUIJOR, Philippines — Stakeholders from the agriculture, youth development, and disaster resiliency sectors convened on May 8, 2026, at the SP Session Hall of the Siquijor Provincial Capitol for the initial planning and coordination meeting of AGRIKABATAAN CAMP 2026, a proposed province-wide youth-centered agricultural and resiliency training initiative.

The meeting gathered representatives from partner farm associations and government offices, including LUFA, BISMACOFA, ELNARD FARM, the Office of the SP Committee on Agriculture headed by Hon. Heddah Largo, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) led by Dex Magtahas.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲

AGRIKABATAAN CAMP 2026 is a three-day training initiative designed to equip young agriculturists, fresh graduates, young farmers, and youth leaders with practical knowledge in agriculture, leadership development, disaster preparedness, and community-based project implementation.

The program features agricultural foundation training, specialized sessions from partner institutions, Basic Life Saving Training (BLST), farm exposure activities, and workshops on agricultural project proposal development.

Beyond skills training, the initiative also aims to build long-term impact mechanisms such as mentorship programs, six-month project implementation challenges, agricultural monitoring, and community outreach activities in schools and barangays.

The initiative was proposed by Subang Siquijor and has gained support from the Office of Hon. Brylle Deeiah T. Organizers emphasized that AGRIKABATAAN CAMP 2026 is not envisioned as a one-time activity, but as a continuing movement that promotes sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, food security, and youth empowerment across Siquijor.

She is a former SSLG President of Candaping National High School, where she built her foundation in governance, discipline, and youth empowerment. In addition, she was recognized as a Project Proposal Awardee during the Negrsonanong Young Leadership Summit 2025, where her initiative Project Bangon received the Center for Education and Lifelong Learning Choice Award, highlighting her excellence in innovation, planning, and impactful community-based solutions.

With these experiences, she now takes on a broader mission of strengthening volunteerism and empowering young leaders across Siquijor.
