A cleaner beach today, a brighter tomorrow.

What began as a simple coastal clean-up became a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish when a community comes together with one heart and one purpose.

From the shores of Paliton and Solangon, we walked side by side—not only picking up waste, but showing our love and responsibility for the island we proudly call home. Every piece of trash collected was a small act of care for our beaches, our ocean, and the generations who will inherit them.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Siquijor Central, Rotary Satellite Club of Siquijor Central – San Juan, Isla del Fuego Eagles Club, Barangays Paliton, Councilor Rads Tompong, our community partners, volunteers, and everyone who gave their time and energy to make this activity meaningful.

May we always remember: protecting our coastline is not the responsibility of a few—it belongs to all of us.

Guard the beach like you guard your home. 🏝️
Because Siquijor is our home, and every little act of care creates a lasting impact. 💙💛

Every smile tells a story. Every act of kindness creates a lasting impact.

Here’s to a Rotary year filled with service, compassion, and lives touched.

Rotary New Year with Children: “Our Children Today, Our Hope for Tomorrow”
with Children’s Party
and
Brigada Eskwela: “Maki-alam, Maki-isa, Mag-Brigada Ka Na!”

Yesterday, the Rotary Club of Siquijor Central, together with our newly inducted Rotary Satellite Club of Siquijor Central – San Juan and our generous Partners-in-Service, came together at New Corregidor Elementary School to celebrate the Rotary New Year through service, fellowship, and joy.

We shared school supplies, raincoats, slippers, books, and hygiene kits with the pupils, while the children’s party brought laughter, games, food, and happy moments for everyone. In support of Brigada Eskwela, we also joined hands with the school community in preparing a better and more welcoming learning environment for our children.

Every smile we witnessed reminded us why we serve. These children are not only our future—they are our inspiration to continue building a kinder, stronger, and more compassionate community.

As we embrace this Rotary year with the theme “Create Lasting Impact,” may this be the first of many meaningful projects that leave a lasting mark in the hearts and lives of those we serve.

To our partners, donors, fellow Rotarians, teachers, parents, and especially our wonderful children—thank you for allowing us to begin our Rotary year with purpose, hope, and love.

Our Children Today, Our Hope for Tomorrow.
Together, we Create Lasting Impact. 💙💛

A Late but Grateful Rotary Year-End Reflection

As we near the close of Rotary Year 2025–2026, we would like to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on an incredible year of service, fellowship, and growth.

Guided by Rotary’s enduring motto, “Service Above Self,” our club has been blessed with countless opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. From community outreach projects and humanitarian initiatives to fellowship activities and leadership development, every accomplishment has been made possible through the dedication, generosity, and commitment of our members.

This year has been particularly memorable as our club was honored with several prestigious recognitions during the District Convention held at Nustar Resort and Casino:

🏆 Club Excellence Award
🏆 Leadership Excellence Award awarded to our Club President, Michael V. Panzo
🏆 100% Rotary Foundation Sustaining Members
🏆 100% TRF Giving Club
🏆 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club (Sustained)
🏆 100% Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY)

These awards are more than just recognitions—they are a testament to the collective passion, generosity, and dedication of every member who has embraced the Rotary spirit and worked tirelessly to serve our communities.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our District Governor Jong Fernandez, for his inspiring leadership and unwavering support throughout the year. We are equally thankful to Assistant Governor Tom Tenefrancia Opeña and Assistant Governor Ran Lim, whose guidance, encouragement, and belief in our club have motivated us to strive for excellence in everything we do.

To our fellow Rotarians, mentors, partners, and supporters, thank you for continuously encouraging us, sharing your wisdom, and reminding us that even the smallest act of service can create a lasting impact.

While these achievements bring us great pride, we recognize that our true success lies not in the awards we receive, but in the lives we touch, the friendships we build, and the hope we bring to our communities.

As one Rotary year comes to a close and another begins, we remain committed to serving with compassion, integrity, and purpose. Together, we will continue to create positive change and live out the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has been part of this remarkable journey. Here’s to an even greater year ahead.

With gratitude,
Rotary Club of Siquijor Central
