Palawan DTC 2026 | Day 3 & 4

Praise God because the third and last day of the camp were just as meaningful and enriching as the previous days.

We thank the Lord for the way the students engaged deeply with His Word as they continue to learn through Scripture Engagement. They did not simply read the Bible but learned to carefully observe, interpret, and apply it. It was encouraging to see them lead the Bible studies they had personally prepared, allowing the Word of God to speak not only to them but also to others.

We give all glory and praise to the Lord for the successful Palawan Discipleship Training Camp 2026 held in Port Barton, San Vicente, Palawan. By His grace, 11 students, 4 graduates, and 2 staff participated in this camp, each bringing their own stories yet leaving with a shared experience of growth in God’s Word and community.

We are also deeply grateful for the Lord’s provision throughout the camp, from the beautiful venue, to the financial resources needed, and to the people He sent to help organize and facilitate this life-transforming experience. Truly, this camp was made possible by God’s faithful provision and the willingness of many people to serve.

As the camp concludes, we continue to pray that the seeds planted during these days will bear lasting fruit in the lives of the students that they will continue to love God’s Word and faithfully lead others to Christ.

To God be all the glory!

DTC Palawan 2026 | Day 2

The day began with Quiet Time Together, where we reflected on the story of Joshua and the call to be strong and courageous trusting that the One who was with Moses and Joshua is the same God who will be with us in the journey ahead.

Through the OT/NT Survey, campers were given a glimpse of the grand story of Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, we were reminded that the Bible is not a collection of disconnected stories but one unified narrative of God’s redemptive work.

This naturally led to a deeper session on the Authority of Scripture, grounding us in the truth that God’s Word remains our ultimate authority for life.

In the afternoon, the campers were introduced to Observation, learning how to carefully look at the text and see what it says before jumping into interpretation or application.

The sessions then shifted from studying the Word to examining the heart. In Self-Image, many were reminded that our identity is not defined by the labels of the society, our past failures, or the expectations of others but by who God says we are.

During SG: Family, campers opened up about their family stories, struggles, and joys. It was a moment to recognize that our families are part of God’s design for our lives. They are not placed there by accident, but by God’s providence, deserving of appreciation, honor, and loved.

The day concluded with Inner Healing, a powerful time of reflection where campers were invited to bring their wounds, struggles, and hidden pains before the Lord. It was a reminder that God does not only save us from sin. He also patiently restores the broken places in our hearts.

Indeed, Day 2 became an opportunity to deepen our foundations, growing in our understanding of God’s Word while discovering more about God and about ourselves.

“Everything happens for a reason that's why it's better to let go things, just go with the flow, and let God handle it. Minsan nagiging cycle na lang sya, kasi when God gave me challenges, it will test us mahirap man or hindi. Then at the end of the day may makukuha pa rin akong lesson on it and I will thank God kasi nangyari yung bagay na yun sa akin.”

“Through the Exposition, I am once again have been inspired to share the Gospel, the word made me remember how it used to be in the first place that we are not sharing this Gospel because we are a good people, but because we are saved alone by the grace of God. that how lovely it is that we also would want to share it to others.”

“Learning about spiritual discipline made me realize how crucial it is to find what works best for me. Taking the spiritual pathway assessment helped me pinpoint the disciplines that fit my vibe and bring me closer to God all the while enjoying those activities. Now, I can focus on practices that truly align with God's will and actually stick to them that help me to further grow in my spiritual journey.”

Praise God for His faithfulness! Five of our Camp Facilitators have safely arrived yesterday at the campsite in Port Barton, Palawan for Discipleship Training Camp 2026. After the long travel, they are now on the venue, preparing the place where students will soon gather to learn, reflect, and encounter God together.

We also thank the Lord for guiding us through our pre-camp preparations. We praise Him for all that has been accomplished so far during pre-camp and throughout the past days.

Praise God as well for His continuous provision for the camp’s needs. Time and again, He has shown that when we step out in faith, He faithfully provides what is needed through the generosity, prayers, and support of many people.

As we look forward to later, we invite you to continue praying with us:
* For the safe travel of all the students and facilitators coming to the campsite later
* For the success of the camp, that hearts will be open to God’s Word and lives will be transformed
* For God’s provision for the remaining needs and for strength for everyone serving the camp

We are filled with anticipation for what the Lord will do in the coming days.

See you later—kit-kits! Thank you for journeying with us through your prayers.

Sa Pagdidisipulo, isa ka rin ba sa mga Kristiyanong nagsasabing....

[✓] I have no ability
[✓] I am too shy
[✓] I don’t know the Bible well enough
[✓] I am afraid to start
[✓] I don’t know what to say
[✓] People are not responsive
[✓] People ask the most difficult questions
[✓] I have no time
[✓] My Christian life is so inconsistent
[✓] I will lose all my friends if I talk about Jesus

I feel you! It is a process talaga ang pagsasapamuhay at pagbabahagi ng salita at pagliligtas ng Panginoon. Kailangan natin ng grace at lakas na tanging nanggagaling lamang sa Panginoon. Romans 1:16 reminds us, “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒍, 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒔: 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑱𝒆𝒘, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒆.”
As Jesus' disciples, we should not be ashamed of the Gospel!

This year's IVCF Palawan Discipleship Training Camp's theme is "ℙ𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕒𝕜𝕒𝕤 𝕟𝕒 𝔹𝕒𝕘𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝔹𝕦𝕙𝕒𝕪". It speaks of a life that is not only renewed through faith but also empowered to live out God’s purpose. It assures us that the change we experience is not temporary or superficial, but is rooted in the eternal power of God’s Word. It challenges us to embrace the Gospel without shame, knowing that it holds the power to save, sustain, and strengthen us for a life of purpose and service for Christ's glory.
