1 Corinthians 15:17

17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

If Christ had not been raised, then our faith is empty and weโ€™re still lost in sinโ€”left holding onto a hope that cannot save. But because He lives, everything changes. Our faith is not fragile or temporary; it is alive, secured, and eternal.

โ€œBut God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.โ€ | Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

Today is another reminder that Godโ€™s love is not forcing you, He is inviting you. A chance to receive grace. A chance to start again. A chance to experience a love that never fails.

Kahit hindi alam ng tao kung ano talaga ang kailangan niya, sinabi pa rin ni Jesus Christ sa krus, โ€œ'Luke 23:34: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.'
- Pastor Jeff

Matthew 13:3-9 (ESV)

3 And he told them many things in parables, saying: โ€œA sower went out to sow.
4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil,
6 but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.
7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
8 Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9 He who has ears, let him hear.โ€

By examining the soil of our hearts, we discover where Godโ€™s Word can truly take root. Some hearts are hardened by fear, distraction, or doubt, letting truth fall but never grow. Others are shallow, receiving the Word with excitement but fading when trials come. Yet when our hearts are fertile, open, and ready, Godโ€™s Word produces a harvestโ€”faith, joy, and love overflowing.

โ€ - Ptr.Jeff

Matthew 18:21-22 (ESV)

21 Then Peter came up and said to him, โ€œLord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?โ€
22 Jesus said to him, โ€œI do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.

You donโ€™t forgive because itโ€™s easy. You forgive because Jesus already forgave you first.

"Forgiving isnโ€™t easy. - Pastor Jeff

Matthew 25:13 (NKJV)
13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Every one of us has experienced waiting. In fact, every day we waitโ€”for someone, for something, or for someday. Yet one thing that we all wait for in common is the coming of Jesus Christ. We do not know the exact day or hour, but we are certain that it will happen.

As we wait, let us be wise like the five virgins in Matthew 25, with their lamps and oil, remaining prepared and faithful. For Christ may return at any time, and those who are not ready may hear the words, โ€œAssuredly, I say to you, I do not know youโ€ (Matthew 25:12). Therefore, let us persevere in faith, so that when Christ returns, we will enter the Kingdom of God.

Kapag inuuna natin ang spiritual life at pinapahalagahan ang salita ng Diyos, nagiging steady at purposeful tayo sa bawat hakbang, hindi basta-basta o โ€œjust-justโ€ lang.

Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans

In life, we often make plans and chase our goals, yet the future remains uncertain and beyond our control. That is why in this verse, it teaches us to trust God fully, committing every planโ€”big or smallโ€”into His hands. When we align our desires with His will and seek His guidance at every step, fear and uncertainty find no place in our hearts. True success is not measured by what we gain, but by how faithfully we walk in Godโ€™s purpose for our lives. As we surrender our plans to Him and live each day for His glory, we discover a victory that is lasting, a joy that is true, and a life that fulfills the calling He designed uniquely for us, for the beginning of our true success comes from a heart willing to surrender all our plans to the Lord.

โ€œWe were created for a purpose that is fully known only to God, and we discover this through a relationship with Him. Although God gave us free willโ€”the ability to manage, plan, and make decisionsโ€”our wisdom and control are still limited. While planning and pursuing goals are important, our deepest desire should be to align with Godโ€™s will rather than merely follow what seems good in our own eyes. In the end, true success is inseparable from purpose; even great accomplishments can miss the mark if they are not aligned with Godโ€™s purpose for our lives.โ€

Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

By standing firm in Godโ€™s power, putting on the full armor He provides, and anchoring ourselves in prayer and His Word, we are strengthened to resist every attack of the enemy. United as believers, we can face deception, fear, and darkness with courage, knowing that God equips us with righteousness, faith, and salvation.

Habakkuk 2:14
14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Faith is not measured by how easy life is or how quickly prayers are answered. It is rooted in Godโ€™s character, proven through His faithfulness, and secured by trusting His promises. Even in seasons of doubt, waiting, and uncertainty, God is at work, in control, and ever faithful. We donโ€™t walk by what we see, understand, or feelโ€”we walk by trusting His Word, resting in His presence, and holding fast to His unchanging truth.

"Clinging to our own manifestations often blinds us to what God is truly doing. When we hold too tightly to what "we want", we resist the work God needs to accomplish "within us", and that resistance can slowly lead to spiritual ruin. Letting go is not giving up; it is surrendering to a wiser hand. When we choose to trust, we make room for God to fulfill His promises in ways that lead not to destruction, but to life."

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Godโ€™s love is not defined by what we feel, expect, or experience. It is rooted in His Word, proven by the cross, and secured by faith. Even when emotions fade, prayers are unanswered, and life becomes heavy, God remains near, faithful, and unchanging. We donโ€™t meet Him through feelings, expectations, or circumstancesโ€”we meet Him through His truth, His promises, and His presence.
---
We did not choose God, but He chose us to bear fruitโ€”an anchor that assures us that nothing can separate us from His love. There are seasons meant to strengthen our roots, preparing us for a more abundant harvest. Even when Godโ€™s purposes seem unclear, every season is intentionally orchestrated by Him to shape us for His calling. Just like the people in the Old Testament who endured trials and loneliness, we, too, may walk through seasons of hardshipโ€”but in all of it, God is always with us. โ€“ Ptr. Jeff

John 12:35-36
35 So Jesus said to them, โ€œThe light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.โ€

Jesus shows us that following God means choosing obedience over comfort, even when it is hard. The cross, though painful, was not defeat but victoryโ€”proof of Godโ€™s great love and the way to our salvation. Jesus is the Light, and He calls us to walk in Him now, not later. As children of light and salt of the earth, we are invited to trust, follow, and choose His light today.
---
"Have we tried saying, โ€œNot my will, but Your will be doneโ€? All of Godโ€™s people who are called have chosen to decide and take action in faith. Jesus is the light; and even when everything feels unclear, He remains our true light, guiding our steps as we continue to walk in trust and obedience." - Ptr. Jeff Asirot

1 Samuel 15-7:9 ESV
โ€œAnd Saul defeated the Amalekites from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt. And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep and of the oxen and of the fattened calves and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. All that was despised and worthless they devoted to destruction.โ€

Not only our brokenness, but even the things we love and hold dear. Everything we have belongs to Him, and nothing in this world is worth keeping at the expense of obedience. True surrender is trusting that God knows whatโ€™s bestโ€”and giving Him our best because He first gave us Jesus.

---

"Godโ€™s instructions are clear because they come from an all-knowing God. Partial obedience is still disobedience, and excuses donโ€™t please Him. Obedience is worship, and it carries purpose. Let us be prayerful and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, so we can walk in full obedienceโ€”the kind that truly honors God." - Pastor Jeff

Joshua 1:9 (ESV)
[9] Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

God spoke to Joshua, calling him to lead His people after Moses, and the message was clear: be strong and courageous. God reminded Joshua not once, but repeatedly, to not be afraid and to trust in His presence.

Life often calls us to step into responsibilities and situations that feel overwhelming or uncertain, and the greatest assurance we can hold onto is His promise,

"God spoke to Joshua as he was about to lead Godโ€™s people after Moses, in a difficult and uncertain situation. When God said, โ€œDo not be afraid,โ€ it was not because the task would be easy, but because God promised to be with him. Joshuaโ€™s courage came not from himself, but from Godโ€™s presence and promise.
This shows us the foundation of true leadership and calling: strength comes from Godโ€™s presence, we move forward by faith, and we stand firm by obeying Godโ€™s Word.
The same reminder is given to us today: "huwag kang matakot." Our confidence comes from knowing that God is with us as we follow and abide in His Word."
