LOOK | The Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park (BTLNP) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) Meeting on May 20, 2026, at Oasis Accommodations Inc., Dumaguete City. The meeting gathered PAMB members, partner agencies, stakeholders, and collaborators in a collective effort to further strengthen the protection, conservation, and sustainable management of the ASEAN Heritage Park. ๐๐ค
The Board discussed significant matters concerning biodiversity conservation, environmental monitoring, ecotourism management, and public safety within the protected area. Among the agenda endorsed and approved during the meeting were the following:

These initiatives highlight the continuous commitment of the Board and its partners toward science-based conservation, informed decision-making, and the long-term sustainability of BTLNPโs rich natural resources and ecosystem services.
The Protected Area Management Office extends its sincere gratitude to all PAMB members and partners including representatives of the Provincial Governor, 2nd District Representative, representatives of the Municipal Mayors of Sibulan and Valencia, Barangay Captains of Brgy. Malaunay, Malabo, Dobdob, Janay-Janay, and Siapo, government agencies such as Department of Science and Technology-NIR and Police Regional Office-NIR, the Philippine Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PBCFI), the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), the Balinsasayaw Twin Lakes Farmers Association, Inc. (BTLFAI), Silliman University Angelo King Center for Research and Environmental Management (SUAKCREM), Silliman University Center for Tropical and Conservation Studies (CENTROP), and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) PENRO Negros Oriental and Siquijor, and DENR Legal Unit for their unwavering support, active participation, and shared dedication in safeguarding BTLNP for present and future generations.
