MARCH 25 | Franz Jay Villanueva, YSP President, and X**a Angel Apolinar, YSP Sarangani Adviser, visited the MSWDO office to coordinate with Maโ€™am Danilyn G. De Guzman. This visit served as the first step in extending assistance to Den Den.

During their discussion with Maโ€™am De Guzman, they were able to seek valuable advice and guidance regarding the possible support and assistance that could be provided to Den Den. He is a child from Purok Kuyon, Barangay Wali, Maitum, Sarangani Province, and is a Person with Disability (PWD). Despite his condition, it has not been a hindrance for him to remain determined and continue striving in life.

This coordination opened opportunities to further expand the support that can be extended to him, through collaboration with agencies willing to assist in his needs and development.

Denden, 14, from Barangay Wali was one of our participants from our previous outreach. He held his book and clothes with genuine joy. Days later, his heartwarming video went viral.

Denden was seen carrying heavy firewood under the rain. Despite being a child with disability, he continues to help his family in any way he can.

Youth Service Philippines - Sarangani Chapter reached out and learned his story. Denden already lost his father. To support their daily needs, his mother works tirelessly by making kalakat. Their house sits on top of a hill, where they have to cross a river and walk miles to get to the nearest concrete road.

Life is hard, but Denden expressed one thing: to have a chance to education. He has never been to school: can't read, write, and count.

And we want to make his dream possible with YOUR help.

We are humbly knocking on your kind hearts for any donation, no matter how small. Proceeds will go directly to his school supplies and daily needs.
