Cabulay High School joins the division-wide effort to strengthen learners' reading skills.
In compliance with Regional Memorandum No. 310, s. 2022 on Intensifying the Reading Recovery Plan to Address Learning Gaps, SDO Santiago City conducted the Division Oral Reading Pre-Assessment today at Cabulay High School, August 5, 2025, as part of Project SEERS (Strategies to Enhance and Escalate Reading Skills of Santiago City Learners).
Spearheaded by the Curriculum Implementation Division, the activity aims to:
✅ Assess learners' current performance levels in reading
✅ Evaluate the effectiveness of reading strategies employed by teachers
✅ Measure the impact of the school-based reading program
The assessment covered Grades I to 12, with CHS scheduled today. It was facilitated by Education Program Supervisors, Secondary School Heads, and Master Teachers across the division.
Special recognition goes to Sir Randy B. Mina, Principal III, and Sir Constante G. Castisimo, Teacher III and CHS Reading Coordinator, for their strong leadership and dedication to literacy advancement.
